ItemActividades Didácticas para favorecer la promoción de la lectura en estudiantes de 6to y 7mo año de Educación Básica dentro de la Institución Educativa “Blanca Cuadros de Zambrano” del Cantón Rocafuerte(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2022) Laz Palma, Karen Stefany ; Vásquez Sánchez, Irma Marilú ; Zambrano Cedeño, Edison RubénThe didactic activities focused on the promotion of reading are articulated within the competences of the library work, these guide the student to acquire useful and progressive knowledge, develop reading habits and understand what he reads. It has been considered as an objective in this research project, to determine the didactic activities to promote reading in 6th and 7th year students within the "Blanca Cuadros de Zambrano" institution. For this reason, based on a quantitative methodological approach with descriptive features, with techniques such as: documentary analysis, field observation, surveys, it was possible to obtain concrete results based on the problem detected within the Educational Institution. The population taken for the study was made up of 30 teachers and a total of 750 students at a general level. The sample that will be constituted as the object of study will be chosen through a stratified sampling in which 15 teachers and 80 students were taken, in order to obtain accurate results. The results obtained give an indication that the didactic activities favor the promotion of reading and are aimed at inciting to delve into discovering the benefits of reading and how beneficial it is to enrich knowledge and improve the lexicon for the future, enabling improvements in motivation and the development of imagination in students.

Escuela de Bibliotecologia y Ciencias de la Información., 2017-10) MORALES, JUAN CARLOS ; ZAMBRANO GARCÍA, DANIEL ALEXANDEREl proyecto se lo realizó bajo la modalidad de Trabajo Comunitario en la Carrera de Bibliotecología y Ciencias de la Información de la Facultad de Ciencias Humanísticas y Sociales de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, en la Biblioteca Central “Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila”. Tuvo por objetivo la adecuación de una Sala Audiovisual para la filmación de videos en la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, en la Biblioteca Central “Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila” en la ciudad de Portoviejo. El trabajo tuvo un diseño metodológico cualicuantitativa, aplicando las técnicas de la observación, la entrevista no estructurada y el análisis documental; y se utilizaron como herramientas la matriz de involucrados, árbol de problemas, árbol de objetivos, árbol de alternativas y matriz del marco lógico. Es así que se partió de un diagnóstico donde se observaron los diferentes servicios con los que cuenta la biblioteca y se detectó la necesidad con el fin de que la biblioteca brinde un nuevo servicio más acorde a la problemática existente, favoreciendo a los estudiantes al momento de la filmación de videos con fines académicos, a docentes y personal de la biblioteca para realizar videoconferencias online y la reproducción de documentales.

The objective was the adaptation of an Audiovisual Room for the filming of videos in the Technical University of Manabí, in the Central Library "Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila "in the city of Portoviejo. The work had a qualitative and quantitative methodological design, applying the techniques of observation, unstructured interview and documentary analysis; And the matrix of involved, problem tree, target tree, alternative tree and matrix of the logical framework were used as tools. Thus, it was based on a diagnosis where the different services with which the library has been observed and the need was detected in order for the library to provide a new service more in line with the existing problems, favoring the students at the time of The filming of videos for academic purposes, teachers and library staff to conduct online videoconferences and the reproduction of documentaries.

As a result of the data obtained through a survey, it was determined the knowledge that the university communities have on the informational competencies, thus showing that the students are so trained, for the correct management and use of the Information.

This article presents the results of research on information literacy in students of the Librarianship, Documentation and Archive career at the Universidad Técnica de Manabí (UTM) -Ecuador. The objective is to know the degree of information literacy of the students of the first, second and third semesters of the career. A descriptive study was carried out with a quantitative approach, a documentary research was carried out to analyze the contributions that various researchers have made on the subject. The population that was taken to carry out the article was 303 students. The sample of 110 students was intentionally identified, so a non- probabilistic statistical calculation was performed, since the selection of students corresponds to those who answered the survey. With the results obtained in the research, the high degree (75%) of information literacy of the students of the first, second and third semesters of the UTM library, documentation and archive career is demonstrated.

ItemAlfabetización Informacional para trabajos de titulación de estudiantes de medicina de la Universidad Técnica De Manabí(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2021) SOLÓRZANO SALVATIERRA, LADY LISBETH ; " " ; " "Higher education plays a leading role in the comprehensive training of undergraduate and postgraduate students, a transversal axis is constituted by Information Literacy (ALFIN) that should be considered a primary component within the third level study, because it equips students of competencies that go from the search, retrieval, dissemination of information, applying selective criteria to obtain certified data, at the same time allowing the generation of new knowledge. The objective of the present work was to characterize the Informational Literacy for the degree work of the Medicine students at the Technical University of Manabí, Ecuador, articulating ALFIN programs. The research was quantitative - qualitative, descriptive and exploratory. The documentary information analysis method was used. The results obtained demonstrate the relevance of integrating information literacy in the academic field, because it allows the development of informational and technological skills in a globalized and changing world where information, especially in the medical area, is constantly evolving.

ItemANÁLISIS BIBLIOMÉTRICO DE LA LITERATURA CIENTÍFICA PUBLICADA EN LA REVISTA LA TÉCNICA (2010-2016)(UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ, 2017) CEDEÑO ESPINOZA, RICARDO DAVID ; QUINDEMIL TORRIJO, ENEIDA MARÍAThe aim of this work is to analyze the scientific production of the journal La Técnica, from its inception (2010) to the last issue of 2016. This magazine, as a source of information, constituted, in its beginnings, a channel of academic diffusion And research, promoting the debate around university teaching among the teachers of the Technical University of Manabi, covering all areas of knowledge. At the end of the year 2014, until today, it is decided that the thematic coverage of the journal is only the Agricultural Sciences. The study, in question, is descriptive, longitudinal and retrospective, making use of bibliometric indicators for the analysis of Information. In the theoretical deployment, the use of methods analysis and synthesis and logical history to locate the ideas and, as an empirical method, the application of the documentary analysis to the published literature on the subject and the articles that make up the journal in the period of study. The most significant results highlight the need to attend to the productivity index of the authors within the journal; Progress is shown in relation to scientific collaboration; It is necessary to work with the degree of obsolescence of the references that are used, due to the low index of Price resulting; The number of references per article is considered normal; The documentary typology that stands out is the consultation of scientific articles and the most consulted documents are those in the Spanish language. The conclusions point to the attention of the bibliometric indicators analyzed to place the journal in databases of greater visibility with the possibility of integrating the Scimago Journal & Country Rank (SJCR), which would place it as the first reference of the Ecuatorian Agricultural Sciences Worldwide.

ItemAnálisis bibliométrico de la producción científica de la revista nutrición clínica y dietética hospitalaria (2014-2016)(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2019) VÉLEZ BELTRÁN, GINA MICHELLE ; ORMANZA PINCAY, MARÍA DE LOS ANGELES ; JOZA VERA, MARÍA FERNANDAThe present investigation was carried out with the objective of analyzing the scientific production and the index. Clinical nutrition and hospital dietetics during the period 2014-2016, this study uses quantitative methodology, supported by the descriptive method. A bibliometric approach was adopted, applying indicators and mathematical models. Among the results are considered, the annual distribution of the articles corresponding to the period 2014-2016, where the most productive year was published in 2016, the price index, the year 2014 is low with 30%, while what are the years of higher index the price was 2015 and 2016. The need to attend the index stands out. It shows the year 2014. There are 20 citations of 31 articles with an index of 0.65%. This is due to the obsolescence of the references of the published works, affecting visibility and quality in scientific publications.

ItemANÁLISIS BIBLIOMÉTRICO DE LAS TESIS DE GRADO DE LA CARRERA DE TRABAJO SOCIAL PERIODO 2013 – 2014(UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ, 2017) SÁNCHEZ QUIRÓZ, PAOLA MARIUXI ; ZAMBRANO CEDEÑO, EDISON RUBÉN ; VERA PÁRRAGA, ORFILIA ELIZABETHThe research is an important axis in the education, reason why it is fundamental to promote it from the first semesters. Hence the importance of carrying out the analysis and monitoring of the scientific publications of the Career of Social Work, of the Technical University of Manabí, period 2013 - 2014, making use of the bibliometric indicators, with the purpose of establishing the actuality of the documents , used as references. We used a metric study with one-dimensional indicators of the scientific activity performed. As a working resource, we had the documents used in each of the theses as books, theses, articles, web documents, year of publication among others. To refer to the scientific theories was considered the method of documentary analysis to written literature, by expert researchers; as well as the logical historical method in the dissertation. The results evidenced that the actuality of the documents used is poor, the documentary typology that stands out is the textbook, followed by the web references as a source of bibliographic queries; with regard to the visibility of ways of citing the sources, these mostly do not meet the reference standards, a situation that stands out in all theses carried out in the period 2013-2014. The conclusions highlight the lack of training for students and teacher tutors in the proper use, to reference the information that supports the scientific and academic work carried out in the career.

Escuela de Bibliotecologia y Ciencias de la Información., 2017-10) ZAMBRANO CEDEÑO, EDISON RUBEN ; SANCHEZ QUIROZ, PAOLA MARIUXILa investigación es un eje importante en la educación, por lo que resulta fundamental promoverla desde los primeros semestres. De allí la importancia de realizar el análisis y seguimiento de las publicaciones científicas de la Carrera de Trabajo Social, de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, periodo 2013 – 2014, haciendo uso de los indicadores bibliométricos, con el propósito de establecer la actualidad de los documentos, utilizados como referencias. Se hizo uso de un estudio métrico con indicadores unidimensionales, de la actividad científica realizada. Como recurso de trabajo, se tuvo los documentos utilizados en cada una de las tesis como libros, tesis, artículos, documentos web, año de publicación entre otros. Para referenciar las teorías científicas se consideró el método del análisis documental a la literatura escrita, por expertos investigadores; así como, el método histórico lógico en la disertación. Los resultados evidencian que la actualidad de los documentos utilizados es pobre, la tipología documental que se destaca es el libro de texto, seguido por las referencias web como, fuente de consultas bibliográficas; en lo que respecta a la visibilidad de las formas de citar las fuentes, éstas en su mayoría no cumplen con las normas de referencia, situación que resalta en todas las tesis realizadas, en el período 2013-2014. Las conclusiones destacan la falta de capacitación a estudiantes y docentes tutores en el uso adecuado, para referenciar la información que fundamenten los trabajos científicos y académicos realizados en la carrera.

ItemANÁLISIS DE ASPECTOS DE NORMALIZACIÓN DE LA GESTIÓN EDITORIAL EN LA REVISTA DE CIENCIAS HUMANÍSTICAS Y SOCIALES REHUSO(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2018) PINARGOTE SORNOZA, DANIEL ALEJANDRO ; MORALES INTRIAGO, JUAN CARLOSThe objective of this study is to analyze, through Bibliometric indicators, the normalization aspects of the scientific production of the journal of humanistic and social sciences ReHuSo. The methodology has a quantitative design, whose sample is represented by the last complete volume of the journal, vol.2 conformed by 3 numbers and a special edition, corresponding to the year 2017. For the evaluation process an adaptation of the evaluation model was used proposed by Delgado López-Cózar, Ruiz and Jiménez-Contreras, (2006) considering the standards ISO 8, ISO 2015, CBE 1994, UKSG 1994, ANSI, ACS 1997, among others. The results show a general normalization average of 89%, obtained from those sections considered fundamental in the current mechanisms of scientific diffusion

ItemANÁLISIS DE INFORMACIÓN DE LAS TESIS DE GRADO DE LA CARRERA DE SECRETARIADO EJECUTIVO EN LA UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ, PERÍODO 2013-2015(UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ, 2016) CEDEÑO MEZA, JOSÉ WILLIAMS ; SEGOVIA MEZA, SILVIA DEL ROCÍO ; RUMBAUT LEÓN, FELIPEThe aim of this paper is to analyze the use of scientific information by students of the career of the Executive Secretariat of the Technical University of Manabi in carrying out their thesis in the period 2013- 2015, which totaled total of 47. This is a bibliometric study with the use of one-dimensional indicators of scientific activity was performed. For theorists concerning the method of documentary analysis written by experts in the subject literature as well as the logical historical method in the dissertation it was considered. Among the results highlighted that the documents currently used is low, according to the Price index; there is greater use of documents that have to do directly with the main knowledge area object of study that relational subject under investigation; the type of document that highlights the textbook is a fundamental source within the bibliographical consultations; in relation to the visibility of the sources, but suggests using trusted sites and publishers prestige, not enough when taking into account that in any case have been reviewed publications of the mainstream, a situation that stands out in all these made in the period. The findings point to the need to train students and mentor teachers in the use of information for scientists and academics of higher quality jobs in this race.

ItemAnálisis de intereses lectores: una mirada al programa de vinculación Manabí crece leyendo análisis de intereses lectores: una mirada al programa de vinculación Manabí crece leyendo(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2017) García Cabrera, Verónica Monserrate ; Navarro Cedeño, Viviana del Rocío ; Joza Vera, María FernandaThe objective of the research was to predict the interest in reading in the province of Manabí, the present study is of a quantitative type based on questionnaires and tests, applied to students of General Basic Education of the Educational Units Andrés de Vera, 12 de Marzo and Rafael María Mendoza from the city of Portoviejo hosted since April 16 in the hostel number one "Andrés de Vera". These students were an important part of the Educational Program "Manabí Crece Leyendo". Following the earthquake these institutions were housed in a single locality, an event that marked the Portovejenses’s lives, especially of the smallest. Behind this event authorities and teachers of the Technical University of Manabi, together with the students of the School of Library and Information Sciences, decided to implement a series of activities to encourage and develop reading skills in children; through the painting and narration of Manabi legends, it was possible to develop in children new learnings and experiences for motivating the interest for the reading. Favorable results were obtained by applying a skill scale test to predict interest in reading and promoting more effective reading development plans.

To develop the situational state of reading, a scientific, descriptive, and statistical methodology is applied; in the first moment it is developed in the structural function of the investigation which are the theoretical references, the second moment is centralized in obtaining data to establish this step the informational contrast is performed applying the qualitative and quantitative techniques that are segmented by the instruments. The third moment where statistics is applied and complemented by field activity, which is to survey students to determine the results using statistical tables. To execute the data collection, a survey is applied to boys and girls who attend the institution, who are in the 4th grade levels. year and 7th. year. These meet ages between 8 and 12 years and the total number of the sample that corresponds to 50 participants. The results that are appreciated in the statistics determined that children have a liking for reading, this is because the teachers who work within the institution contribute significantly to children, in addition to the “Manabí Grows Reading” program that it offers support in the line of connection, secondly that it is of vital importance to strengthen reading and encouragement for reading pleasure; and in conjunction with students from the library, documentation and archive career at the University; on the other hand, the children hold as part of this support that the readers' tastes vary, but they enjoy interpretive reading and that related to characters that manage to be brought in a scenic way.

ItemAnálisis de la gestión y preservación del material bibliográfico de las bibliotecas: Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila, y del museo Portoviejo y archivo histórico.(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2021) ÁLAVA ALARCÓN, ANGIE ALEXANDRA ; PÉREZ SUAREZ, PATRICIO FERNANDO ; CABRERA CANTOS, LILIANA GEOCONDALibraries throughout the history of humanity have been considered as an important tool in the training processes of students, and that is why the present research work aims to analyze the processes of management and preservation of bibliographic material in the Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila libraries of the Technical University of Manabí and the Portoviejo Museum and Historical Archive of the city of Portoviejo. The methodology to be used within this research corresponds to the qualitative one, since through the interview the administrative management process on the preservation and conservation of the bibliographic material in each library will be verified and then a comparative analysis will be generated on the type of management and preservation, also identifying the type of manipulation, registration and ordering of bibliographic material between the Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila libraries of the Technical University of Manabí and the Portoviejo Museum and Historical Archive of the city of Portoviejo. It should be noted that the objective of This work focuses on demonstrating the importance of the preservation of bibliographic documents, in order to know the natural and anthropic factors that affect the wear or preservation of these materials. This resulted, among other situations, in recognizing that a manual of administrative and management procedures is necessary for the preservation of adequate documentary sources for their organization, storage and retrieval of historical archives.

Escuela de Bibliotecologia y Ciencias de la Información., 2017-10) PRIAS GUTIERREZ, KAREN YANINAEl objetivo de este trabajo de análisis de información de la carrera de Ingeniería Agronómica de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, respecto al rediseño curricular. Se siguió un estudio descriptivo, empleando el método de análisis documental para la revisión bibliográfica y el método histórico-lógico en la exposición de los criterios de autores. De igual forma se utilizaron la encuesta a 120 a estudiantes y egresados de la carrera de Ingeniería Agronómica. Los resultados que se obtuvieron hacen énfasis en las necesidades de información académico actualizado que van acorde con la nueva malla curricular de la carrera de Ingeniería Agronómica, facilitando el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de los estudiantes, docentes y comunidad estudiantil.

A descriptive study was carried out, using the method of documentary analysis for the bibliographic review and the historical-logical method in the exposition of the criteria of authors. Likewise, the survey was used to 120 students and graduates of the degree in Agronomy Engineering. The results obtained emphasize the need for up-to-date academic information that is in line with the new curriculum of Agronomic Engineering, facilitating the teaching-learning process of students, teachers and the student community.

ItemAnálisis de los procesos de automatización en las bibliotecas públicas del cantón Portoviejo(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2019) VÉLEZ BELTRAN, GINA MARGARITA ; MORALES INTRIAGO, JUAN CARLOSThe present investigation was carried out with the objective of analyzing the automation process in the public libraries of the Portoviejo canton, this study used the quantitative methodology, supported by the descriptive method. A design was carried out that contemplates two stages: in the first, the state of the art is reviewed to base the present study with theories. In the second, a comparison table with criteria and indicators is designed and applied to characterize the automation processes and, through an interview with the staff, analyze the activities carried out in the public libraries of the Portoviejo canton. Among the results it is considered that the current state of automation in libraries is favorable, they use the KOHA library management system, there is a fluid and assertive environment, and in this way the user can satisfy their need for information and the librarian can provide a efficient service. The conclusions emphasize the need to improve the information retrieval module and access to an online public catalog.

ItemAnálisis del fondo documental de las instituciones públicas: dirección provincial de Manabí del ministerio de transporte y obras públicas y GAD municipal de Portoviejo.(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2018) RUÍZ VILLAMAR, JOSÉ EDUARDO ; SOLÓRZANO SALVATIERRA, MERCEDES MARITZA ; SALTOS CATAGUA, LILA MARÍAAnalyze the documentary collection of two public institutions of the city of Portoviejo to examine the state of conservation, know preservation policies, application of treatment techniques, use of access regulations and restriction of archival documents, motivated the present investigation, considering the importance of adequate documentary management in public administration. The selected institutions were: the Provincial Directorate of Manabí of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works and GAD (Decentralized Autonomous Government) Municipal of Portoviejo. To achieve the proposed objectives, a quantitative research methodology was used in the process of document analysis. To measure the variables, methods were applied: descriptive, analytical, bibliographic, statistical. The data obtained as a result of the analysis of the documentary background are presented in tables and tables that demonstrate the physical conditions of the documents, the technical documentary processing activities, the implementation of safeguarding plans, in the same way during the investigation it was evidenced that in the GAD Municipal de Portoviejo, since it does not have forecast plans for the conservation of its documents, suffered the loss of a large part of its documentary fund due to the earthquake of April 16, 2016 that happened in the province of Manabí. As a result of this situation, the institution was forced to implement documentary management policies that ensure the safeguarding of documents, where systematization is a process that has gained importance, considering that by digitizing the documentary collection and keeping a copy of the documents, Preserves information The Provincial Directorate of Manabí XI of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works has also initiated a document management process that allows it to technically organize its file documents to facilitate access, search and retrieval of information efficiently. As a prospective it is recommended for effective and efficient document management, it has personnel specialized in information sciences and archivology to carry out the processes inherent to the correct organization of the documentary collections, which will significantly benefit the institutions in the correct application of standardized processes and adequate management of the documentary collection, which is ultimately the constancy of the administrative and management functions of public and private entities.

ItemAplicación de la regla técnica nacional en los archivos públicos en el MTOP(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2020) ESCOBAR HERNÁNDEZ, MIRKA DANIELA ; SALTOS CATAGUA, LILA MARÍAThe research determines the application of the national technical rule in the public archives in the Ministry of Transport and Public Works, zone 4, Portoviejo, Manabí-Ecuador. The methodology used in the research is carried out from a quantitative and descriptive approach, therefore, the methods used were deductive and bibliographic, to analyze the subject matter from different variables. A survey was applied to 18 people who work in different areas, and an observation card was made whose purpose was to record data from the central file. The results obtained show that the central archive uses the norms that govern the technical rule, thus reflecting the good development of the archival functions. The technical rule helps to supplement all existing information within the central archive, it favors in the organization and maintenance of the archival information in a successful and efficient way.
