    El proyecto se lo realizó bajo la modalidad de Trabajo Comunitario en la Carrera de Bibliotecología y Ciencias de la Información de la Facultad de Ciencias Humanísticas y Sociales de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, en la Biblioteca Central “Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila”. Tuvo por objetivo la adecuación de una Sala Audiovisual para la filmación de videos en la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, en la Biblioteca Central “Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila” en la ciudad de Portoviejo. El trabajo tuvo un diseño metodológico cualicuantitativa, aplicando las técnicas de la observación, la entrevista no estructurada y el análisis documental; y se utilizaron como herramientas la matriz de involucrados, árbol de problemas, árbol de objetivos, árbol de alternativas y matriz del marco lógico. Es así que se partió de un diagnóstico donde se observaron los diferentes servicios con los que cuenta la biblioteca y se detectó la necesidad con el fin de que la biblioteca brinde un nuevo servicio más acorde a la problemática existente, favoreciendo a los estudiantes al momento de la filmación de videos con fines académicos, a docentes y personal de la biblioteca para realizar videoconferencias online y la reproducción de documentales.

    The project was carried out under the modality of Community Work in the Career of Librarianship and Information Sciences of the Faculty of Humanistic and Social Sciences of the Technical University of Manabí, in the Central Library "Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila ". The objective was the adaptation of an Audiovisual Room for the filming of videos in the Technical University of Manabí, in the Central Library "Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila "in the city of Portoviejo. The work had a qualitative and quantitative methodological design, applying the techniques of observation, unstructured interview and documentary analysis; And the matrix of involved, problem tree, target tree, alternative tree and matrix of the logical framework were used as tools. Thus, it was based on a diagnosis where the different services with which the library has been observed and the need was detected in order for the library to provide a new service more in line with the existing problems, favoring the students at the time of The filming of videos for academic purposes, teachers and library staff to conduct online videoconferences and the reproduction of documentaries.

    ANÁLISIS BIBLIOMÉTRICO DE LA LITERATURA CIENTÍFICA PUBLICADA EN LA REVISTA LA TÉCNICA (2010-2016)

    The aim of this work is to analyze the scientific production of the journal La Técnica, from its inception (2010) to the last issue of 2016. This magazine, as a source of information, constituted, in its beginnings, a channel of academic diffusion And research, promoting the debate around university teaching among the teachers of the Technical University of Manabi, covering all areas of knowledge. At the end of the year 2014, until today, it is decided that the thematic coverage of the journal is only the Agricultural Sciences. The study, in question, is descriptive, longitudinal and retrospective, making use of bibliometric indicators for the analysis of Information. In the theoretical deployment, the use of methods analysis and synthesis and logical history to locate the ideas and, as an empirical method, the application of the documentary analysis to the published literature on the subject and the articles that make up the journal in the period of study. The most significant results highlight the need to attend to the productivity index of the authors within the journal; Progress is shown in relation to scientific collaboration; It is necessary to work with the degree of obsolescence of the references that are used, due to the low index of Price resulting; The number of references per article is considered normal; The documentary typology that stands out is the consultation of scientific articles and the most consulted documents are those in the Spanish language. The conclusions point to the attention of the bibliometric indicators analyzed to place the journal in databases of greater visibility with the possibility of integrating the Scimago Journal & Country Rank (SJCR), which would place it as the first reference of the Ecuatorian Agricultural Sciences Worldwide.

    ANÁLISIS BIBLIOMÉTRICO DE LAS TESIS DE GRADO DE LA CARRERA DE TRABAJO SOCIAL PERIODO 2013 – 2014

    The research is an important axis in the education, reason why it is fundamental to promote it from the first semesters. Hence the importance of carrying out the analysis and monitoring of the scientific publications of the Career of Social Work, of the Technical University of Manabí, period 2013 - 2014, making use of the bibliometric indicators, with the purpose of establishing the actuality of the documents , used as references. We used a metric study with one-dimensional indicators of the scientific activity performed. As a working resource, we had the documents used in each of the theses as books, theses, articles, web documents, year of publication among others. To refer to the scientific theories was considered the method of documentary analysis to written literature, by expert researchers; as well as the logical historical method in the dissertation. The results evidenced that the actuality of the documents used is poor, the documentary typology that stands out is the textbook, followed by the web references as a source of bibliographic queries; with regard to the visibility of ways of citing the sources, these mostly do not meet the reference standards, a situation that stands out in all theses carried out in the period 2013-2014. The conclusions highlight the lack of training for students and teacher tutors in the proper use, to reference the information that supports the scientific and academic work carried out in the career.

    La investigación es un eje importante en la educación, por lo que resulta fundamental promoverla desde los primeros semestres. De allí la importancia de realizar el análisis y seguimiento de las publicaciones científicas de la Carrera de Trabajo Social, de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, periodo 2013 – 2014, haciendo uso de los indicadores bibliométricos, con el propósito de establecer la actualidad de los documentos, utilizados como referencias. Se hizo uso de un estudio métrico con indicadores unidimensionales, de la actividad científica realizada. Como recurso de trabajo, se tuvo los documentos utilizados en cada una de las tesis como libros, tesis, artículos, documentos web, año de publicación entre otros. Para referenciar las teorías científicas se consideró el método del análisis documental a la literatura escrita, por expertos investigadores; así como, el método histórico lógico en la disertación. Los resultados evidencian que la actualidad de los documentos utilizados es pobre, la tipología documental que se destaca es el libro de texto, seguido por las referencias web como, fuente de consultas bibliográficas; en lo que respecta a la visibilidad de las formas de citar las fuentes, éstas en su mayoría no cumplen con las normas de referencia, situación que resalta en todas las tesis realizadas, en el período 2013-2014. Las conclusiones destacan la falta de capacitación a estudiantes y docentes tutores en el uso adecuado, para referenciar la información que fundamenten los trabajos científicos y académicos realizados en la carrera.

    ANÁLISIS DE INFORMACIÓN DE LAS TESIS DE GRADO DE LA CARRERA DE SECRETARIADO EJECUTIVO EN LA UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ, PERÍODO 2013-2015

    The aim of this paper is to analyze the use of scientific information by students of the career of the Executive Secretariat of the Technical University of Manabi in carrying out their thesis in the period 2013- 2015, which totaled total of 47. This is a bibliometric study with the use of one-dimensional indicators of scientific activity was performed. For theorists concerning the method of documentary analysis written by experts in the subject literature as well as the logical historical method in the dissertation it was considered. Among the results highlighted that the documents currently used is low, according to the Price index; there is greater use of documents that have to do directly with the main knowledge area object of study that relational subject under investigation; the type of document that highlights the textbook is a fundamental source within the bibliographical consultations; in relation to the visibility of the sources, but suggests using trusted sites and publishers prestige, not enough when taking into account that in any case have been reviewed publications of the mainstream, a situation that stands out in all these made in the period. The findings point to the need to train students and mentor teachers in the use of information for scientists and academics of higher quality jobs in this race.

    El objetivo de este trabajo de análisis de información de la carrera de Ingeniería Agronómica de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, respecto al rediseño curricular. Se siguió un estudio descriptivo, empleando el método de análisis documental para la revisión bibliográfica y el método histórico-lógico en la exposición de los criterios de autores. De igual forma se utilizaron la encuesta a 120 a estudiantes y egresados de la carrera de Ingeniería Agronómica. Los resultados que se obtuvieron hacen énfasis en las necesidades de información académico actualizado que van acorde con la nueva malla curricular de la carrera de Ingeniería Agronómica, facilitando el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de los estudiantes, docentes y comunidad estudiantil.

    The objective of this work of an analysis of information of the career of Agronomic Engineering of the Technical University of Manabí, with respect to the curricular redesign. A descriptive study was carried out, using the method of documentary analysis for the bibliographic review and the historical-logical method in the exposition of the criteria of authors. Likewise, the survey was used to 120 students and graduates of the degree in Agronomy Engineering. The results obtained emphasize the need for up-to-date academic information that is in line with the new curriculum of Agronomic Engineering, facilitating the teaching-learning process of students, teachers and the student community.

    The province of Manabi by tradition is cradle of thoughts and cultural values. In his history he has had great writers and orators of literature. The low production of literati in recent years, is an important factor to be investigated. Professionals in literature acquire the commitment to rigorously comply with the precepts contained in the ethical codes that their profession has established. The present research seeks to establish strategies and propose them to be carried out in the future, as an alternative that favors the bibliographical knowledge and the practice of these literary values in the Portoviejo city.

    BIBLIOTECA ESCOLAR COMO RECURSO LÚDICO PARA EL FORTALECIMIENTO DEL APRENDIZAJE: APLICADO A LA UNIDAD EDUCATIVA MONSERRATE ÁLAVA DE GONZALES.

    The objective of this work is to demonstrate that a School Library, as a recreational resource, strengthens learning in the Educational Unit Monserrate Álava de Gonzales and guarantees the satisfaction of the students' playful needs. The methodology used is descriptive and documentary analysis for the bibliographic review, as well as the historical - logical method for the organization of the ideas of the different authors. The school library and the recreational resources were delimited as a field of action, as well as to establish if the type of information made by the teacher leads to the logical development of skills and reading skills. Conclusions are described highlighting the feasibility of having a school library that motivates reading and through it the development of thinking, given that at present, students lack adequate reading habits as a means or tool to strengthen their learning. It is proposed to present a methodological proposal for the school library to become a resource center for teaching and learning, through the incorporation of sufficient tools to assist in the exercise of information literacy, analyzing as case study models Of digital libraries and digital educational platforms.

    El objetivo de este trabajo es demostrar que una Biblioteca Escolar, como recurso lúdico, fortalece el aprendizaje en la Unidad Educativa Monserrate Álava de Gonzales y garantiza la satisfacción de las necesidades lúdicas de los estudiantes. La metodología utilizada es de tipo descriptivo y análisis documental para la revisión bibliográfica, así como también, el método histórico–lógico para la organización de las ideas de los diferentes autores. Se delimitó como campo de acción la biblioteca escolar y los recursos lúdicos, además de establecer sí el tipo de información realizada por el docente conduce al desarrollo lógico de habilidades y destrezas para la lectura. Se describen conclusiones destacando la factibilidad de contar con una biblioteca escolar que motive a la lectura y a través de ésta el desarrollo del pensamiento, dado que en la actualidad, los estudiantes carecen de adecuados hábitos de lectura como medios o herramienta para fortalecer su aprendizaje. Se procede a presentar una propuesta metodológica para que la biblioteca escolar se convierta en un centro de recursos para la enseñanza y el aprendizaje, a través de la incorporación de instrumentos suficientes que ayuden en el ejercicio de alfabetización en información, analizando como estudio de caso modelos de bibliotecas digitales y plataformas digitales educativas.

    The Library Systems must offer and guarantee services in a very special way to the users that present some visual disability, highlighting the equality of access, as it is describe in the UNESCO manifesto, with respect to public libraries. The objective of the present study is to characterize the reality and challenge of the Technical University of Manabí vis-à-vis people with visual disabilities from the special library in the academic period October 2017 - February 2018. As a systematic for this study, descriptive methods are used and retrospective, adopting a bibliographic approach to study the variables of the research, considering the use of the methods of analysis; as well as, the method of synthesis and logical historical, to explain the advantages that the special library offers. The results obtained allow us to conclude that an infrastructure must be implement hand in hand with ergonomic technology to help people with special abilities, especially, the blind.

    "EL BIBLIOTECÓLOGO COMO AGENTE DESARROLLADOR DE LA LECTURA, EN LA BIBLIOTECA PÚBLICA DE LA CIUDAD DE CHONE, ECUADOR"

    La actual investigación se realizó en la Biblioteca (Municipal) o Pública del Cantón Chone, este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar la importancia que tiene un bibliotecólogo como agente desarrollador de la lectura, de lo cual fue posible conocer a los usuarios y así mismos a los bibliotecólogos que están conscientes de su rol protagónico como agentes desarrolladores de la lectura; además poniendo a consideración que el Ecuador es un país en el que menos se lee, y la mayor parte de personas que no leen indican que no tienen interés por hacerlo; por lo que se propone que el bibliotecólogo debe ser el agente que promueva el interés por la lectura a través de un programa donde se propicie un espacio activo e inclusivo para fomentar la misma, de lo cual se tomaron las características que debería tener este programa en base al uso de encuestas (investigación de campo) a 40 usuarios asiduos, quienes indicaron que estarían de acuerdo con dicho programa si este fuera encaminado a todas las áreas del conocimiento y que permita el interés, así como el uso de tiempo libre, información y resolución de preguntas para incentivar al interés de los usuarios al programa; lo que hace pensar que realmente el bibliotecólogo debe ser el agente desarrollador de lectura que se requiere en el país.

    The present paper aims to refer to the current role of the librarian / librarian regarding the need for openness to new and varied ways of collecting, organizing and promoting information, also to review, that need to incur training processes for an adequate management of sources Of information in digital format, due to the fact that ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) are strategic ally in the bibliographical work to provide an adequate information service. The subject is approached with a methodology of qualitative research, precisely with personnel immersed in the biliothecological task that participates through interviews and surveys applied to the users of information to make known the feeling and experience in the development of the work of the staff working in the library , From the perspective of those who offer the service and those who receive it. With the data obtained it can be determined that the profile of the personnel working in libraries and information centers, those who do it because they have several years dedicated to the work as librarian or those who have a professional training as librarians, must be active, but The most interesting thing that can be highlighted from the information collected is that they are aware of this demand for innovation, constant improvement and continuous training, which is necessary due to the demands of information users who need to inquire, select, define And obtain information in various formats which must be updated and contrasted. Another requirement that the librarian / librarian needs to have is a broad general culture, commitment and social responsibility, because his role is not only focused on meeting information requirements, he must also carry out orientation activities for users through information literacy (ALFIN), as part of a successful execution of the tasks entrusted to them as professionals in the organization and management of information.

    El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo referir el rol actual del bibliotecario/bibliotecólogo respecto a la necesidad de apertura hacia nuevas y variadas formas de recopilar, organizar y promover la información, también reseñar, que precisan incurrir en procesos de formación para un manejo adecuado de fuentes de información en formato digital, debido al hecho que las TIC (Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación) son aliada estratégica en la labor bibliográfica para brindar un adecuado servicio de informacion. La temática se aborda con una metodología de investigación cualicuantitativa, precisamente con personal inmerso en el quehacer biliotecológico que participa mediante entrevistas y encuestas aplicadas a los usuarios de información para dar a conocer el sentir y experiencia en el desarrollo del trabajo del personal que labora en biblioteca, desde la perspectiva del quienes ofertan el servicio y aquellos que lo reciben. Con los datos obtenidos se puede determinar que el perfil del personal que labora en las bibliotecas y centros de infomación, aquellos que lo hacen porque tienen varios años dedicados al trabajo como bibliotecario o los que poseen una formación profesional como bibliotecólogos, debe ser proactivo, pero lo más interesante que se puede destacar de la información recopilada es que ellos, estan consientes de esta exigencia de innovación, de mejora constante y formación continua, misma que es necesaria debido a las exigencias de los usuarios de información quienes requieren indagar, seleccionar, definir y obtener información en diversos formatos la cual debe ser actualizada y contrastada. Otro de los requisitos que precisa tener el bibliotecario/bibliotecólogo es una vasta cultura general, compromiso y responsabilidad social, debido a que su rol no solo se centra en atender requerimientos de información, debe realizar también actividades de orientación a los usuarios mediante la alfabetización informacional (ALFIN), como parte de una acertada ejecución de las tareas a ellos encomendadas como profesionales de la organización y gestion de la información.

    BRECHA DIGITAL DESDE EL ESTUDIO DE LAS COMPETENCIAS DIGITALES: CASO UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ

    The objective of this study is to analyze the (SDM) Minimum Digital Knowledge that students must attend higher education to perform in their academic tasks, as well as to estimate the digital divide between students whose ages are in the range of 17 to 30 years, versus students over 30 years of age. The research is developed through the explanatory method. The design contemplates two stages: In the first one a documentary analysis was carried out, to base with theories the present study. In the second phase, the form of digital knowledge schemes was applied based on the coincidences between reference frameworks proposed by Ramírez and Casillas (2015), considering only the indicators proposed by UNESCO, to identify SDMs and to establish the digital divide between students that go to the Central Library of the Technical University of Manabí, separating them by the ranges of indicated ages. The study allowed to identify the levels of minimum digital competences, to establish and analyze the digital divide, to finally propose alternatives that will reduce this gap between the so-called natives and digital emigrants.

    El objetivo de este trabajo es destacar la importancia de tener una Cartera de Servicios de Información de la Biblioteca Central “Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila” de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí que garantice la satisfacción de las necesidades informativas de quienes la visitan, conociendo que las IES del país han comenzado a prestar a sus usuarios una atención de calidad, donde las bibliotecas, por el impacto que tienen dentro de la comunidad universitaria, forman parte primordial de la atención en lo que respecta a la mejora permanente y continua del servicio que ofrece a la colectividad. La metodología utilizada es de tipo descriptivo. Se hace uso del análisis documental en la revisión teórica y del método histórico-lógico en la organización de las ideas. Se describen conclusiones destacando la factibilidad de contar con una cartera de servicios que facilite los procesos de cambios para su rumbo organizacional, dado a que en la actualidad se deben cumplir con un conjunto de procesos, políticas y estrategias, que ayudan a optimizar los servicios de información que luego serán utilizados por los usuarios.

    The aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of a Portfolio Information Services Central Library "Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Davila "of the Technical University of Manabí to ensure the satisfaction of the information of those who visit needs, knowing that higher education institutions in the country have started providing their users a quality care, where libraries, for the impact within the university community, they are essential part of care with respect to permanent and continuous improvement of the service offered to the community. The methodology used is descriptive. Use of documentary analysis on the theoretical review and the historical and logical method in the organization of ideas is made. Conclusions are described highlighting the feasibility of having a portfolio of services that facilitate the processes of changes to its organizational direction, given that currently must meet a set of processes, policies and strategies that help optimize services information will then be used by users.

    A letter of services is presented to the Institutional Library "Monsignor Luis Alfredo Carvajal Rosales, the Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana Benjamín Carrión, Core Manabí. the value of the same stands for channeling information services, guiding users and staff in their offer. The methodology is descriptive, where use of theoretical methods and empirical level of knowledge is done. As results emerged that this library is a system of key information in the cultural education of the community as manabita closest public that provides services directly. Regional emphasizes the need for these services incorporate Information Technology and Communications (TIC′s), which will most viable access to quality information and no noise. As findings suggested that it is appropriate to recall that the library in question, must have proper installation, to ensure the conservation and protection of all documents, the convenience of users and the availability of spaces for selection and processing analytic-synthetic of the information. Another emphasizes that these institutions to expand their coverage, serve efficiently and effectively at par with the requirements of cognitive, artistic, cultural and research requirements, as required by the twenty-first century require other funding from any agency governmental and nongovernmental.
