RÉGIMEN NUTRICIONAL CON ALIMENTOS AUTÓCTONOS PARA LA PREVENCIÓN DEL RETARDO PSICOMOTOR EN PACIENTES CON FENILCETONURIA
(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2019) DAZA DAZA, BRYAN XAVIER ; SALDARRIAGA CEDEÑO, GÉNESIS NICOLLE ; QUINTERO, HÉCTOR
Introduction: Phenylketonuria (PKU) is a genetic disease described as an inborn error of metabolism, where the amino acid phenylalanine (obtained mainly from foods of animal origin), cannot be metabolized normally, causing severe mental retardation and neuropsychiatric complications; However, these manifestations can be avoided from a strict diet with a minimum concentration in Phe, since it is well known that if the individual presents a high level of said amino acid in blood, they could increase. Therefore, the main objective of this work focuses on the proposal of a diet according to the needs of the patient with phenylketonuria, based on foods with very low concentrations of phenylalanine (Phe) considering their place of residence, so that, by using of food supplies from the area, adherence to treatment is improved and its Phe levels are maintained in a normal range, taking into account the nutritional needs of each infant. Methodology: A retrospective and prospective research was carried out, taking as a reference population two phenylketonuric infants, which only represent a unit of reference analysis to explore the possibilities of using the diet proposed. The infants were intentionally selected having as a common characteristic to present high level of phenylalanine in the blood. The variables studied were the nutritional regimen and psychomotor retardation. To obtain data, a retrospective method of dietary intake (frequency of consumption questionnaire) and a socioeconomic survey were carried out; with which the way how patients have taken their nutritional treatment to the present will be evaluated. All this was carried out in order to find out the type of nutritional administration or supplementation that they have entailed since the diagnosis of their disease. Results: According to the applied surveys, data are obtained that show that the nutritional treatment in patients with phenylketonuria, has several factors involved to achieve the fundamental objective that is in the adherence and to take a nutritional regime with low content in the amino acid phenylalanine.

Arterial hypertension (AHT) constitutes an important risk factor for the emergence of cardiac and cerebral vascular complications, and dyslipidemia is the most important risk factor in cardiovascular diseases or even the cause of a high percentage of deaths, in the which influence factors such as excessive consumption of fats and sugars, alcohol, inherited defects, some medications and diseases such as diabetes, hypothyroidism, overweight and obesity. That is why the following research aims to “Evaluate the macronutrient profile of dietary intake in hypertensive and dyslipidemic patients with pharmacological treatment who attend the ACI Integral Cardiac Care Center of the City of Portoviejo, in the period August-October 2019 " Considering that adequate food contributes greatly to each individual who maintains an ideal state of health and thus contributes to hypertensive and dyslipidemic patients receiving pharmacological treatment adopt eating habits that will serve to make their pathology bearable. Therefore, the information generated by studies on the profile of macronutrients, shows the importance of feeding in patients with hypertension and dyslipidemia, where it is intended to be an important contribution to treatment, and even more so for patients of this Center, reducing the risk of certain pathologies.

(Universidad Técnica de manabí, 2019) DELGADO MENDOZA, ANNIE JULISA ; ZAMBRANO ZAMBRANO, JHONNY JAVIER ; ARENCIBIA, RICARDO
Sports nutrition should be considered as an essential part of the recovery process focused on preserving the general state of health of the athlete. The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of nutritional status on the physical performance of the members of the Manta Fútbol Club category B team, Manabí. It is an explanatory - correlational study of transversal type, with measurement of 22 male soccer players aged between 17 and 19 belonging to the sub 18, body composition was assessed by anthropometric measurements and the Faulkner equation and physical performance. by the Cooper test. The following results were obtained which were presented in mean and standard deviation, the age of the Manta Futbol Club sub 18 team was 17.4 (± 0.49) years, the size represented 1.71 m (± 0, 06), body weight was found in 64.3kg (± 4.6). The BMI was 21.8 kg / m2 (± 1.83), body fat was represented by 10.7% (± 1.23), the percentage of fat-free mass reported 89.24% (± 1.23). According to the physiological test assessing the maximum volume of oxygen, the average presented by the players is 49.6 (ml / kg / min) (± 0.05). With the results obtained, a negative correlation between the anthropometric variables and the physiological test of maximum oxygen consumption was demonstrated, since the higher the percentage of body fat and BMI, the lower the oxygen consumption of the players and the lower their aerobic resistance, this He showed that anthropometric variables are an important factor in the sports physical performance of the Manta Futbol Club sub 18.

The morphophysiological changes of the aging process have led to urgent sanitary measures, especially since the formulation of public policies that are aimed at the elderly. The objective of this study is to evaluate the relationship between eating habits and nutritional status in the elderly female, Teresa Sánchez Geriatric Center, IESS Portoviejo, to achieve the necessary fuel to determine food through the frequency method of food consumption, to then characterize the body composition according to the component of body fat and visceral by using the Electric Bioimpedance in the study population, then identify the influence of food nutrients on nutritional status. The theoretical method (historical-logical, analytical-synthetic) and empirical methods (scientific observation and measurement) were analyzed. The techniques used were the data collection sheet and as an instrument the OMRON body control scale and the modified food consumption frequency questionnaire (CFCA). The allowed results allowed to identify a considerable group of the sample under study is overweight and obese; a small percentage but very significant with normal weight and very high body fat and high visceral fat. The foods that consume more are eggs, meats, legumes, carbohydrates like foods for the diet of most of the studied population; However, there is a lack of consumption of milk, fish, dried grains and bread. The values of the relationship tables of the variables, are located at a level of significance greater than that established in the Chi-square R Pearson P < 0.05, which shows a significant relationship between food and the nutritional status of older female adults.
