    The province of Manabi by tradition is cradle of thoughts and cultural values. In his history he has had great writers and orators of literature. The low production of literati in recent years, is an important factor to be investigated. Professionals in literature acquire the commitment to rigorously comply with the precepts contained in the ethical codes that their profession has established. The present research seeks to establish strategies and propose them to be carried out in the future, as an alternative that favors the bibliographical knowledge and the practice of these literary values in the Portoviejo city.

    We demonstrate a study based on the qualitative method, oriented to the Project "The Library Goes to the School", created by the Autonomous Government Decentralized Municipal of Canton Portoviejo; Having the faculty to direct it, the Municipal Library Pedro Elio Cevallos of the City of Portoviejo, Province Manabí period 2015-2016; Aims to encourage students to read and develop reading comprehension skills, through different interactive activities; Reading and storytelling, development of reading comprehension, dramatization, hobbies and entertainments, that through observation and interview obtained results contrary to those that rest on the printed documentation 1Docente Universidad Técnica de Manabí.     NIVEL DE ALFABETIZACION INFORMACIONAL EN LOS ESTUDIANTES DE PRIMER NIVEL DE LA CARRERA DE PSICOLOGIA CLINICA PERIODO 2017

    The main objective of this article, undoubtedly determines the level of information literacy in students of the first level of clinical psychology; from May to September 2017, for which it became necessary to define in depth the thematic presented. We will approach from different contexts, both the general and the particular to obtain criteria that help us to understand their different situational aspects regarding the chosen theme. As a methodology, the qualitative and quantitative method was applied, using as a research technique the survey, which allowed to know the level of information literacy that students had, concluding that students maintain a high level of information literacy.

    Procedimiento para la catalogación de material bibliográfico de la biblioteca del museo y archivo histórico de la ciudad de Portoviejo

    The process of cataloging within the area of sciences of librarianship is a question that measures dimensional aspects that are focused on the organization and representation of the search for the information that is contained and that is represented as a bibliographic fund within each library. The aim of the research is to analyze the cataloging process of the bibliographic material in its format and design applied by the museum library and historical archive of the city of Portoviejo, for which a methodology of qualitative and quantitative character is applied. bibliographic techniques, which allows the collection of information and the elaboration of instruments that are applied in the field study. The main results affirm that the library uses a cataloging system that is under construction in the digital environment. In this sense of the conclusion the library is framed in the processing of its catalog, using current regulations such as the Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, (RCCA), which are the product of schemes and organizational logistics within the library sector, and which propose standardization among local, national and international libraries.
