ItemEL AUXILIO PSICOLÓGICO EN EL PROCESO DE DUELO DEBIDO A LA PANDEMIA COVID-19 EN LAS FAMILIAS DE LA COMUNIDAD MIRAFLORES, DEL CANTÓN 24 DE MAYO DE LA PROVINCIA DE MANABÍ.(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2021)La presente investigación determinó mediante una revisión bibliográfica los beneficios del auxilio psicológico en el proceso de duelo debido a la Pandemia COVID-19, identificando a su vez el nivel de conocimiento que tienen las familias de la comunidad Miraflores, del cantón 24 de Mayo de la provincia de Manabí sobre los primeros auxilios psicológicos en una situación de duelo ante la pérdida de un ser querido. Por medio de una investigación cualitativa y cuantitativa se logró tener resultados que dan una visión general y aproximada para la presente investigación ya que se identificó que la población estudiada tiene un amplio conocimiento de lo que son los primeros auxilios psicológicos pero a pesar de esto no han accedido a ellos, así como también que más de la mitad de la población estudiada ha perdido un ser querido a causa de la pandemia por COVID-19 y que de estos al menos un 37% ha desarrollado un duelo patológico, mientras el 63% restante no han tenido dificultades al superar este proceso.

ItemEL AISLAMIENTO SOCIAL Y SU INTERACCIÓN CON EL TRASTORNO DE ESTRÉS AGUDO EN LOS ADULTOS MAYORES USUARIOS DE LA FUNDACIÓN SIMÓN PALACIOS INTRIAGO EN EL AÑO 2021(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2021)This article presents the results of a research whose main objective was to determine the interaction between social isolation and acute stress disorder in elderly users of the Simón Palacios Intriago Foundation in 2021, the methodology used was of the type descriptive with a quantitative approach, since quantifiable information was obtained, the instruments used were; In-depth interviews and the Hamilton Stress Test, these were applied prior to the oral consent of the participants, the results show that 65% of older adults present medium stress levels, while 20% show signs of suffering from levels of mild stress, while the remaining 15% levels of moderate stress, therefore it is concluded that there is a notable relationship between social isolation and acute stress disorder, so it is considered appropriate to include this population group in projects of psychosocial care, which will help improve their quality of life.

ItemDIAGNÓSTICO PSICOSOCIOEDUCATIVO DE ESTUDIANTES CON DIVERSIDAD FUNCIONAL DE LA UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ (ECUADOR)(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2021)Educational inclusion is a need for universities today. In the Universidad Técnica de Manabí of the Republic of Ecuador there are contradictions between the institutional policies of the center and the conception of the teaching-learning process in students with functional diversity. This does not allow these students to integrate into educational dynamics, presenting feelings of frustration and abandonment. The objective of this study was raised: to develop a diagnosis in the educational psychological field of students with functional diversity of the Universidad Técnica de Manabí in Ecuador. The study was classified as predominantly quantitative mixed with a descriptive design. Theoretical and empirical methods were used, highlighting the survey method and the criteria of specialists that facilitated data collection. A psycho-socio-educational diagnosis of students with functional diversity at the Universidad Técnica de Manabí in Ecuador was carried out from the levels: a) family, b) academic, c) sociocultural and d) psychosocial. Based on the results, a proposal for improvements was made in order for students with functional diversity from the aforementioned educational center to be able to integrate optimally into higher education. It was concluded that the construction of an inclusive education that integrates differences as opportunities for development and quality of the educational process is a necessity. The Universidad Técnica de Manabí of the Republic of Ecuador has barriers that limit the psychoeducational development and training of students with functional diversity. These aspects are fundamentally located in the academic, sociocultural and psychosocial context, not in the family context. These students feel vulnerable and more than half have considered abandoning their studies. Several strategies were proposed in order to promote educational inclusion.

ItemDIAGNÓSTICO PSICOPATOLÓGICO EN MUJERES EXPUESTAS A VIOLENCIA INTRAFAMILIAR DURANTE LA PANDEMIA(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2020)This article presents the results of a research that had as objective to carry out the psychopathological diagnosis in women exposed to domestic violence users of the New Horizons Foundation of Portoviejo during the pandemic in the month of September 2020, the methodology used was of descriptive type with quantitative and qualitative approach, in which methods were used, clinical, psychometric and statistical, the instruments applied in this study were, Beck-II Depression Inventory (BDI-II), Beck-II Anxiety Inventory (BAI-II), was able to determine that women who were studied have suffered physical, sexual and psychological violence by their partner or another member of their family, so they are affected psychologically, these effects range from moderate anxiety to severe depression, so it is recommended that comprehensive care and priority of women who have been victims of violence during the COVID-19 pandemic.

ItemDEPRESIÓN Y DEPENDENCIA FUNCIONAL EN LOS ADULTOS MAYORES DEL CENTRO GERIÁTRICO “FUTURO SOCIAL”(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2022)Older adults are those who are in the last stage of their lives, where physical and cognitive abilities are deteriorating, causing both organic and psychological diseases such as low self-esteem, depression as well as presenting functional dependency. The objective of the research is to identify the relationship between depression and functional dependence in the elderly of the "Futuro Social" Geriatric Center. A study of a quantitative nature was carried out, with a descriptive correlational approach, a population of 30 older adults between the ages of 65 and 85 years was taken, the instruments, the Yesavage questionnaire, the Barthel test (BI) and the inventory of Coopersmith for adults. For the statistical analysis, the chi-square test of independence was used and the following results were obtained: 43.33% (13) present moderate dependency, 36.66% (11) with established depression and 23.33 % (13) have a medium level of self-esteem. In conclusion, significant differences were found between depression and functional dependence, however in the results of the level of self-esteem and functional dependence there are no significant differences, as well as the results of the level of self-esteem and depression.
