ItemLA MOTIVACIÓN EN EL APRENDIZAJE DE LA LECTURA DE LOS ESTUDIANTES DE SEGUNDO AÑO DE EDUCACIÓN BÁSICA DE LA UNIDAD EDUCATIVA 26 DE JUNIO DEL CANTÓN MANTA.(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2019) SANTAMARÍA CHÁVEZ, ESTEFANÍA FABIANA ; POSLIGUA ACOSTA, ALEXI JAVIER ; DELGADO CEDEÑO, LETTY ARACELYThe objective of this research was to: Design methodological activities for the application of motivation and its strengthening of reading in the second year students of Basic Education of the Educational Unit June 26 of the Manta canton; for which a thorough literature review is carried out: it is based on the general concept of motivation, characterizing each of the dimensions, that is, intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, with its different components that has to do with self-determination, own initiative, enthusiasm , reward, punishment and incentive, analyzing each of them in relation to the effects on the reading learning process. The scientific methodology was used for its study with its inductive and deductive methods, which allowed to relate in the educational field the motivation and learning of the students' reading, which induced to verify the objectives proposed in the project, through the tabulation of surveys applied to teachers and students, applied to the sample of the population chosen; concluding that there are acceptable levels of motivation of teachers to develop the learning of reading in students, mainly done with storytelling, short stories and the realization of word games despite the fact that in the classroom does not count with enough teaching resources since they mostly have only books; Therefore, it is recommended as a proposal the realization of methodological activities to motivate the learning of reading in the students of the mentioned educational institution.
