ItemLA INTERVENCIÓN DEL PSICÓLOGO A TRAVÉS DE LAS REDES SOCIALES: UNA PERSPECTIVA DESDE LA ÉTICA ÉTICA EN LA INTERVENCIÓN PSICOLÓGICA A TRAVÉS DE LAS REDES SOCIALES(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2019) VERA GARCÍA, BLANCA MARITZA DE LOS ÁNGELES ; CASTRO SACOTO, JAVIER ALEJANDRO ; CAICEDO GUALE, LILIANA CAROLINAThe psychologist's practice has been characterized by intervention in person; However, the development and updating of knowledge, as well as the demands of today's society, leads to the search and implementation of new intervention alternatives, which, among others, involve Information and Communication Technologies, specifically, social networks. This action involves a series of aspects that must be taken care of as the ethical principles that allow it to develop this activity with high levels of professionalism and reliability. According to the idea before mentioned, the objective of this research which is qualitative-quantitative, and has a descriptive level was to analyze the intervention of the psychologist through social networks in Portoviejo, Manta, Chone, Rocafuerte and Santa Ana, cities of Manabí province, Ecuador, through an interview and survey applied to 50 practicing professionals in public and private contexts. In Ecuador there is no greater demand on this type of psychological care, the prevention and promotion is done indirectly; it is estimated that in the future it will be adapted as a complementary method in mental health care. In this study it was evidenced that the psychologists in their formation do not count on solid foundations on the ethical principles, and tics; therefore, they may not work with the adequate responsibility. This tool is based on the good application of theoretical knowledge, ethical knowledge and training in technologies. Key words: update, technologies, social networks, intervention, ethical principles.
