    The investigative work of this thesis deals with the experimental works in Natural Sciences; of the great importance that these have within the formation of the student body, and how these works affect their cognitive development. It offers from this approach to approach students to scientific knowledge, so that they are interested in the realization of scientific research and develop their investigative capacities, thus achieving a constructivist learning. It deals with teaching, specifically the Natural Sciences; it plays an important role in the basic education curriculum; since, from the first years, school children build the first explanations of the natural world, explanations that must be guided by the teacher, who under his own conceptions will explain to the students the importance of Natural Sciences, using scientific methods to greater understanding of them. The objective of the research is to propose alternatives that make viable the experimental works in Natural Sciences to improve the cognitive development in the teaching process of the students. It is necessary to emphasize that with the execution of this research project it was possible to demonstrate that the experimental works affect the cognitive development of the students. In one of the subsequent chapters, the methodological part that was used in the research, the methods, techniques and instruments of data collection and the analysis and interpretation of the results were highlighted. The results obtained from the research process allowed to demonstrate the veracity of the scope of the objectives and hypotheses that were addressed to the topic to be investigated.
