Abstract
The degree work was aimed at implementing and advising on the management of anesthesia machines and multiparameter monitor at the Dr. Gabriel Manzo Quiñónez Veterinary Clinic of the Technical University of Manabí, between the months of August 2019 and January 2020, with the purpose to equip the surgery area with appropriate devices for handling and safety provided to patients by those in charge of the surgical activity. To execute the project, surveys were carried out in the Veterinary Clinic on the knowledge of the devices to be implemented that have been required in the area of surgery, then activities such as requesting proformas, meetings with suppliers of the necessary equipment for this work such as the Inhalation anesthesia machine, multiparameter monitor with capnograph and visual stethoscope. Tests were carried out to verify the operation of the equipment through 3 different canine surgeries. Finally, with the purpose of having the necessary equipment for the work of qualification, as well as for the next performance of the surgeries offered in the Veterinary Clinic taking advantage of its available resources and having an area of didactic work in which research projects can be executed scientific benefitting the university community, always taking into account biosafety standards and proper health management by future professionals. El trabajo de titulación tuvo como objetivo implementar y asesorar en el manejo de las máquinas de anestesia y monitor multiparámetro en la Clínica Veterinaria Dr. Gabriel Manzo Quiñonez de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, entre los meses de agosto 2019 y enero 2020, con la finalidad de equipar el área de cirugía con aparatos apropiados para manipulación y seguridad brindada a los pacientes por parte de los encargados en la actividad quirúrgica. Para ejecutar el trabajo se realizó encuestas en la Clínica Veterinaria sobre el conocimiento de los artefactos a implementar que han sido requeridos en el área de cirugía, luego se realizaron actividades como solicitar proformas, reuniones con proveedores de los equipos necesarios para este trabajo como son la máquina de anestesia inhalatoria, el monitor multiparámetro con capnógrafo y estetoscopio visual. Se realizaron pruebas para constatar el funcionamiento de los equipos mediante 3 cirugías diferentes en caninos. Finalmente, con el propósito de tener el equipo necesario para el trabajo de titulación, así mismo para el próximo desempeño de las cirugías brindadas en la Clínica Veterinaria aprovechando sus recursos disponibles y teniendo un área de trabajo didáctico en la cual se pueden ejecutar proyectos de investigación científica beneficiando así la comunidad universitaria, siempre teniendo en cuenta las normas de bioseguridad y el manejo sanitario adecuado por parte de los futuros profesionales.
