The objective of the work is the implementation of the Information Literacy Strategy from
the library. The scope that it will have within the graduates of the Faculty of Agronomic
Engineering of the Technical University of Manabí was considered, in addition, experts from
the Ibero-American context were taken as a reference. A descriptive study was followed
using the classical documentary analysis method for the bibliographic review and the
historical-logical method in the exposition of the authors' criteria. The survey technique
applied according to a sample of 74 students who regularly graduated from the library was
used to find out their views on media literacy. At the same time, an interview was applied
with an intentional sample of 10 graduate students to learn about the management of
Information Literacy on the Web. The results obtained emphasize the implementation of the
Information Literacy Strategy as a guide to guide advanced searches for information,
highlighting the need to create an orientation manual in their searches. The conclusions
highlight the feasibility of implementing emerging actions that serve as a guideline for such
searches from the easiest to the complex.
