    The use of own resources is of vital importance for local development and as a source of employment. In Ecuador, the use of mango is limited and lacks the technologies to enhance production. The objective of this research was to carry out a market study that allows the design of a commercial strategy for magician derivatives and their by-products in the Estancia Vieja site of the Portoviejo Canton. The methodology followed was based on the definition of the problem, the research objectives, information needs, type of study, data collection methods, determination of the demonstration method, design of the data collection instruments, field work, processing and statistical analysis of information, within the framework of a descriptive, quantitative and conclusive investigation. The results obtained showed that the products derived from mango pulp most preferred by the population are jam, nectar, pulp, mango in syrup and dehydrated mango, while the four products derived from the peel evaluated in the survey (vinaigrette and mango peel syrup, pickled and dehydrated mango peel) presented considerable acceptance, for this reason these pulp and peel products were considered in the development of the marketing plan, where actions related to the characteristics and planning of the product were structured. , its price, the distribution channel and promotion strategies.
