    El objetivo principal de este artículo, sin duda determina el nivel de alfabetización informacional en los estudiantes del primer nivel de psicología clínica; periodo mayo a septiembre del 2017, para lo cual se hizo necesario definir a profundidad la temática presentada. Abordaremos desde diferentes contextos, tanto lo general como en lo particular para obtener criterios que nos ayudaran a comprender, sus diferentes aspectos situacionales en cuanto al tema escogido. Como metodología se aplicó el método cualitativo y cuantitativo, empleando como técnica de investigación la encuesta, aquella que permitió conocer el nivel de alfabetización informacional que tenían los alumnos, llegando a la conclusión de que los estudiantes mantienen un alto nivel de alfabetización información.

    The professional in Library Science is the image of a library, plays an important role in its library, organizational and administrative management, providing solutions to conflicts, proving to be a trained professional for the development of its activities, skills, abilities and acting competitively, at the moment of carrying out its work. The objective of this research is to identify the employment situation of the Graduates in Library Science in the canton of Portoviejo, 2017; research methods and techniques were established that allowed the collection of information, in which professional training, attitudes and aptitudes, areas of action and their functions are mentioned, information on employability, the labor market is detailed.
