    Bibliotecas escolares y su función de animación a la lectura en los estudiantes de la unidad educativa Uruguay

    This research focuses on the study of school libraries and their function of encouraging reading in students of the upper basic of the Uruguay educational unit, thus being an important means for the development and progress of students who seek to improve due to reading strategies. The main objective of this research is to analyze the function of school libraries in encouraging the reading of students of the upper elementary school of the "Uruguay Educational Unit" Portoviejo, Manabí, Ecuador, this purpose brings with it as specific objectives to plan specific activities related to reading, develop reading strategies to encourage reading for pleasure with physical and digital texts, and finally promote reading with the support of the institution's teachers. The methodology implemented was descriptive, with a quantitative approach and in turn the survey technique was used. This research gave extremely important results for the reading process, since it allows us to know the shortcomings of the students taking into account the learning process and development of the student's thinking and creativity, it was concluded that most of the students of the upper basic did not have affinity for reading which was worked with teachers for integration in the classroom, as a task it was achieved that students will be interested in visiting the library and practicing reading, facilitates and improves the quality of life, through the reading.

    Competencias digitales del bibliotecario: caso de estudio biblioteca Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila de la UTM

    The current times require the training of librarians who have digital capabilities that energize their work with users. It is not the same to exercise this profession in a time of pandemic with libraries closed and providing their services through virtuality, as in a traditional way. In this context, this research aims to analyze the digital competencies of the librarian; specifically, the role played by these professionals in the Dr. Alejandro Muñoz Dávila Library of the Technical University of Manabí with headquarters in Portoviejo, Manabí, is addressed as a case study. For this reason, the method used is qualitative and descriptive; this approach aims to understand the problems exposed related to the skills of librarians in contemporary society. In addition, surveys of library staff were conducted to determine their digital capabilities. It is for this reason that the present study gains space, relevance and relevance as and as users, increasingly eager for answers and information, search the library for an efficient service that meets your requirements related mainly to the search for first-hand and reliable information.

    Reading opens the way to a new world. Thanks to reading, human beings have been able to form themselves in an integral way. However, and despite its importance, reading has not been cultivated by all human beings as it should be expected and, therefore, there are deep gaps and a gap in knowledge that deserves to be filled in some way. In these times, the digitized world today demands that this competition be strengthened, because human beings need to read to understand what is happening around them and make good decisions. With regard to the health emergency, digital reading has become a powerful resource for coping with adversity. In this article, through a qualitative methodological approach, the way in which reading in digital medium, through the electronic book, phones, tablets or computers, has experienced some increase is focused. For this purpose, reference has been made to the students of the first levels of the Course of Library Science, Documentation and Archive of the Technical University of Manabí. For this reason, it has been considered that the digital book has not replaced the paper book, but rather that it is a format that allows to expand the moments in which it can be read, to increase the public and the time of reading among the population. It is very common that people read a book in digital and if they like the book, later they buy it in paper, because they want to have it in their library. Therefore, one of the premises of this work is that both are complementary and indispensable channels. In particular, digital reading has helped to enhance the knowledge of the target population and has led to a better response to the current health emergency.

    Estrategias para la reducción de la brecha digital. Caso INFOCENTRO del cantón Rocafuerte, provincia de Manabí, Ecuador. 2018.

    The digital divide is the distance between individual, residential, academic and geographical areas at different socio-economic levels in relation to their opportunities to access new information and communication technologies, as well as the use of the Internet, which it ends up reflecting differences between the different countries or institutions at the local level. This is a problem with many edges, the result of a wide range of factors, including literacy and education, and that can not be solved only with the installation of networks and technological infrastructure. In the specific case of this research, the authors analyze strategies to reduce the digital divide in the Infocentro of the Rocafuerte canton. Undoubtedly, the reduction of the Digital Divide in this type of organisms involves altering the causes that produce it. But, this is not a simple task, given that it is necessary to face structural problems such as the level of economic development, education, infrastructure, etc. This means that the proposed recommendations are preferably short-term, in order to provoke immediate effects, notwithstanding pointing out tendencies of action, which should be specified in State policies. Therefore, there is a generalized consensus that the battle against the Digital Divide should be carried out on all fronts and by society as a whole.

    Promoción de la lectura en el centro de salud de la parroquia Riochico del cantón Portoviejo, del proyecto la biblioteca va a los espacios públicos, período enero- junio 2017

    The main objective of this work is to promote the reading in the Health Center of the Riochico Parish of the Portoviejo Canton, Province of Manabí, period January-June 2017, for the benefit of users of this Medical Unit and especially of the community, since by means of this they can acquire the habit of reading through the different didactic materials, such as puppets, dramatization and stories those that are used to fulfill this project, nevertheless can not be acquired since the results of the surveys corroborate that They do not like to read. As a methodology was used the qualitative and quantitative method, applying as a research technique the survey, this tool allowed us to know the reader habit that the users who attend the health center, obtaining as a conclusion that patients do not have a favorable reader habit , it is considered that the lack of interest in reading is due to the fact that the patients are involved in the illness of their relatives, which limits access to the reader's empowerment by the people who attend the Riochico Health Center.illness of their relatives, which limits access to the reader's empowerment by the people who attend the Riochico Health Center.

    EL ROL DE LOS EGRESADOS DE BIBLIOTECOLOGÍA A PARTIR DE LAS CUESTIONES ÉTICAS EN EL MANEJO DE LA INFORMACIÓN

    The concepts of supply and demand are part of the theory of value, whose theoretical core tries to explain prices, in terms of utility, on the one hand, and scarcity on the other. The concept of marginal utility is very important in demand theory. It implies that the degree of profit of a commodity changes according to the quantity consumed. The higher consumption means lowers useful, as long as the concurrency and mobility of the workforce are perfect. The value category is very old, so much so that a current of specific thought can hardly claim its property. It has caused a number of problems when it comes to being treated quantitatively because most of analyze have tried to understand it in an expanded reproduction. This essay highlights the difference between what is simple and expanded reproduction. It is argued that the former was undervalued in most cases relative to the latter. It also cites examples of how simple reproduction has its theoretical space, especially in relation to certain situations existing in the agricultural sector.
