ItemCOSTOS Y NIVELES DE PRODUCCIÓN AGRÍCOLA Y SU INCIDENCIA EN LOS INGRESOS COMO DETERMINANTE EN LA CALIDAD DE VIDA DE LOS AGRICULTORES DE LA ASOCIACIÓN SAN LORENZO DE MAPASINGUE ADENTRO DEL CANTÓN PORTOVIEJO, PERIODO JULIO 2014 - JULIO2015(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2016) CEDEÑO CEDEÑO, JAMIL ROGELIO ; QUIJIJE SIERRA, LENIN FABIÁN ; ARREGUI, ROBERTOThis research "Costs and levels of agricultural production and his impact on incomes as a determinant of the quality life of the farmers of the Association San Lorenzo in the community Mapasingue in canton Portoviejo, period 2014 – 2015” was developed through the field of agriculture, studying a group of farmers that are part of an association which intends to create a mutual collaboration and face equipment market and climatic adversities, decisions to improve the quality of the product, part active group of farmers of corn (short cycle products) in Manabí, learn from other associations and progressively raise their quality of life. The work was developed in the province of Manabí, whose canton Portoviejo possesses the parish Colon, place where the community of Mapasingue sits. This community (sub divided) into Mapasingue outside and Mapasingue inside, where the difference between the two is the access to the water. On the outside there is a channel with plenty of liquid that caters to the plantations and makes harvests, but in the inner part of Mapasingue lack this vital element, which affects the habitants and brings different consequences. While on the outside of Mapasingue there is presence of permanent crops as cocoa, lemon among others, in its internal only are planted with short cycle as maize (main product), beans, peanuts, beans, peppers and tomatoes. The lack of water makes it impossible to the farmers of Mapasingue in get the maximum out of their ground, they therefore do so seasonally and hoping that the rains are favorable, otherwise, they could not do it since they do not have access to water, which in turn affects income, category of which depends on the quality of life of these families. There are problems more serious than the lack of water faced by the settlers, which are the conditions of the market, the conjugation between the supply and the demand for their products. The earliest product in the production of this form of organization of the Popular and solidary economy is corn, since that generates higher profits which serve to assume its vital costs. Annually the corn prices range between $14 and $17 per quintal sold, but the problem is to do to who sold? The lack of industrial processes for corn prevents them from receiving what they consider a price just when they sell to a silo, also payment is not immediately, so prefer to sell their products to intermediaries. The methodology used in the thesis entitled "" Costs and levels of agricultural production and its impact on income as a determinant of the quality of life for the farmers of the Association community Mapasingue in Portoviejo, period 2014-2015 canton San Lorenzo" is participatory and exploratory field. Observation and constant contact with the members of the Association were fundamental to ensure the results of the investigation in which the survey tool was used to make field data lifting. The survey was conducted to 121 farmers in the community, from which data were obtained from absolute relevance. As results were achieved to test two hypotheses raised in the development of research, showing that the costs and the level of production affect significantly the incomes of farmers, which in turn has consequences in their quality of life. He was testing the hypotheses through the method of the Pearson Chi square, of which the results were less than 0.05, i.e. which are significant
