This research has been developed with the aim of determining the relationship between the intensification of domestic and care work and resilience in mothers who have children with autism, belonging to the Association "Un Lugar para Tus Sueños", during the COVID-19 health emergency. In this sense, research was conducted at an exploratory and descriptive level, using a mixed approach, that is, a set of quantitative and qualitative methods, virtually, such as: the SV-RES Resilience Scale, the Survey on Domestic and Care Work, the Semi-structured Interview and the Focus Group; instruments for gathering information, which gave support to the reality investigated about mothers of children with autism. The results showed that, in the context of the COVID-19 health emergency, domestic and care work has increased, mainly by the mothers studied, who have transformed the negative experience of this prolonged situation into positive opportunities for learning and personal growth, based on the development of certain strategies and attitudes of positive response aimed at greater resilience.
