ItemLA MÚSICA COMO HERRAMIENTA PSICOPEDAGÓGICA EN EL TRATAMIENTO DE NIÑOS CON TRASTORNO DEL ESPECTRO AUTISTA(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2022) CEVALLOS ROSS, FERNANDO ANDRÉS ; ALARCÓN-CHÁVEZ, BETTY ELIZABETHThe benefits of music therapy for children with autism spectrum disorders have been widely proven by different authors, children with this condition have difficulties in some areas, including communication and social interaction; For this reason, this work aims to highlight the role of music as a psycho-pedagogical tool that allows psychologists to use instruments and didactic resources to create a unique communication that facilitates motivation, attention, learning and subsequent interaction of the child and his environment, the methodology used for the development of this work is qualitative, which aims to deepen the research from the interpretation of data, which were obtained from surveys of parents and structured interviews with clinical psychologists who serve children with ASD. After the analysis and interpretation of the results it was possible to conclude that, the taste for music in children with Autism is acquired through constant listening, the benefits that are presented with the application of music therapy are wide, among these are; the improvement in the interaction of children with their environment, which has meant an important advance in their treatment, the main conclusion is that although the benefits are visible, there is still a lot of work ahead, since the process is difficult for some patients and involves a long process over time.
