    This research talks about the psychological profile of the victimizer, which can be defined as the set of psychological characteristics and prevailing attitudes in a relationship of violence, the other variable is violence, which refers to any physical or psychological aggression that causes harm. To women, it also implies inequality, aggression, abuse of power and manipulation by thei partner. The objective was to analyze the psychological profile of the perpetrator as a determining factor in violence against women; exploratory and descriptive research was used, information was obtained from women victims of violence through the survey, the selected instrument was a questionnaire designed with structured questions. Mainly the results indicated that women remain with their victims mostly because of the belief of keeping the family together. The mai characteristics of the aggressors include substance use, jealousy and verbal and physical aggression. It was also obtained that the highest rates of violence against women occur in the home followed by public areas. It is concluded that the psychological profile is characterized by internal and external factors, however, he is aware of the actions he performs, violence against women is not justified; For this reason, it is recommended to the authorities and people involved a greater dissemination of content for the prevention of violence.
