ANÁLISIS Y CONSTRUCCIÓN DEL ACABADO EXTERIOR E INTERIOR DEL EDIFICIO DE LA BIBLIOTECA GENERAL DE LA UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ

Abstract

Faced with the high demand for suitable environments for research, in which one organized collection and organized to provide information to the university community and the general community, the Universidad Técnica de Manabí was the need to build a library that provides multiple services access information and offer in different ways information sources and supplementary materials. Furthermore, It constitute a favorable place to study, research, discovery, self learning and the reading. This community work was executed in the city of Portoviejo in the campus of our University, note that this project was divided into several stages, of which the main objective of our theme was provide utility, quality and beauty to the General Library´s final finishing of the institution, due to the finishing is fundamental in any construction project. This document shows the different processes and activities that took place in order to give a final finishing to the building of the General Library of the Universidad Técnica de Manabí. Providing the necessary information and detailed explanation of each of the materials used in this process as well as the wide variety of materials found in the market. Also it focuses on the proper use of materials in construction of the finished, which is shown by an analysis of the resistance of mortars, using different parts of fine aggregate and a dosage determined in the laboratory and as the resistance between the two specimens, we choose the appropriate material. As relates to the use of paint, it explains the choice of the same according to the area or environment that is exposed, also the type of finished on floor, using ceiling or false ceiling, among others. With this thesis not only we reinforce our knowledge, but we also had the opportunity to relate the theoretical with the practical as we contribute to the construction of the final finishing exterior and interior of the Library of the Universidad Técnica de Manabí.
