Abstract
Este artículo hace referencia a la inteligencia emocional y el desempeño de las secretarias ejecutivas de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí. La metodología que se utilizó fue la bibliográfica y la descriptiva con la técnica de la encuesta aplicada a empleadas y profesionales, obteniendo resultados positivos que expresan que la inteligencia emocional es muy importante en el desempeño de sus actividades, brindar una buena atención es imprescindible en su trabajo, además tomar decisiones oportunas es una de sus funciones diarias, es por esta razón que sus superiores las capacitan de forma permanente para así mejorar su rendimiento. Es importante tener en cuenta que las profesionales que laboran en esta área son graduadas de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, donde se ofrece la carrera de Secretariado Ejecutivo.
Description
This article refers to the emotional intelligence and the performance of the executive secretaries the Technical University of Manabi. The methodology used was the bibliographic and descriptive with the technique of the survey applied to employess and professionals, getting positive results that showed that the emotional intelligence is very important in their development, provide a good attention is essential in their work, as well as making timely decisions is one of their daily functions, it is for this reason that their superiors train them permanently in order to improve their performance. It is important to bear in mind that the professionals who work in this area are graduated from the Technical University of Manabi, where the Executive Secretary career is offered
