This project was carried out with the purpose of designing and implementing an experimental station to assess water quality, using technology biofloc in fattening shrimp Litopenaeusvannamei, and the daily variation of: dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature, salinity, likewise determined experimentally in the biofloc , variation of nutrients: ammonia, nitrites and nitrates , bi-weekly. The total area of the station is 58.5 m2 withaerationsystem and supply biofloc, media and accessoriesneededtoimproveeducationalpractice of students of theEngineering in Aquaculture and Fisheriesand encourageresearchusingthis new technology, and share theirsultswithshrimpfarmers in thearea. The project took about five months in the design and adaptation of the first stage contemplated the development of an architectural design that allowed us to use the area for and adapt a functional model and according to the technical requirements for the production of biofloc. The second step was to coordinate with the works department UTM to achieve the technical approval of the place where was the installation according to studies (Annex 1) and their respective permit use of space within the premises of the Universidad Técnica de Manabí en Bahía de Caráquez .materials were purchased to carry out the work according to the design and implementation of the station was painted with a protective lacquer environmental erosion, finally he placed the mesh saran - blue around it which allows the exchange of inside the station with the external environment in terms of brightness. In this case being ready it for use with the species, Litopenaeusvannamei, we made a collection of biofloc, evaluating water quality, physical and chemical environmental parameters and nutrients, showing that the results are within the appropriate range for fattening this aquaculture species.
