ItemLA PAPIROFLEXIA EN EL DESARROLLO DE LA COORDINACIÓN ÓCULOMANUAL EN LOS NIÑOS Y NIÑAS DE EDUCACIÓN INICIAL DE LA UNIDAD EDUCATIVA KERLLY ANNABEL TORRES CEDEÑO, MONTECRISTI(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2019) MERO FRANCO, MARÍA ELENA ; RENGIFO VERA, KAREN JULIANA ; MONCAYO MUÑOZ, NEIVAThe development of manual eye coordination is paramount for human beings. Well, in every moment of life, coordination is needed to function correctly in the immediate space that surrounds us. Its importance lies in the fact that the actions of manual eye coordination will allow the child to arrive without difficulty to obtain the necessary precision to achieve the mastery of the pencil in the writing and in the visual perception necessary for learning to read.During a visit to the Kerlly Educational Unit, Annabel Torres Cedeño, at the Initial Level, it was observed that activities that would potentiate the development of eye-hand coordination were not applied, and repetitive strategies were applied, on the other hand, to the infants of this institution. It was not necessary to develop the coordination of hand eye movements by noticing the movements of his hands and fingers in an uncontrolled way when performing fine activities. The objective set to solve this problem was to develop workshops for the application of origami for the development of eye-hand coordination in children of the Initial Level, which served as a guide for teachers and allowed them to propose structured learning experiences, in this way lay significant bases that served the children in the development of oculi-manual skills. The methodology that was used in this investigation was of qualitativequantitative type and of action participation. Surveys were applied to teachers and, in turn, observation cards were applied to children. The execution of the origami application workshop greatly favored the development of the oculi-manual coordination since in each activity developed the improvement of its fine movements was noted, acquiring the appropriate precision from the simplest to the most complex exercises
