Social skills play a fundamental role in the personal and social development of people. The objective of this titling work is to determine the impact of social networks on social skills in adolescents of the Rubén Darío Mixed Fiscal School of the La Soledad del Cantón Junín site, bearing in mind that social networks are currently the most used means of communication. by adolescents and that social skills are competencies that allow them to act correctly in interpersonal relationships. The methodology used was quantitative and qualitative, focusing on the results obtained through the survey and the Goldstein social skills test, tools with which the information was collected, for which it was applied to 20 adolescents. Through the statistical analysis which presents the tables and graphs, it was possible to determine the impact that social networks have on the social skills of adolescents. The results showed that adolescents know social networks and consider that these generate a negative impact on their social skills, so they have a medium level, thus affecting basic social skills.
