ItemANÁLISIS DE LA IMPORTANCIA DE LAS AUDITORÍAS A LOS SISTEMAS DE GESTIÓN DE CALIDAD EN LAS INSTITUCIONES DE EDUCACIÓN SUPERIOR EN EL ECUADOR. PERIODO 2015 – 2019.(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2022) LÓPEZ GOVEA MARÍA PRISCILLA ; MORRILLO MENDOZA MARÍA ELENA ; MENDOZA SALTOS, FERNANDAThis research consisted of determining the importance of audits to quality management systems in higher education institutions in Ecuador during the period 2015 - 2019, for this a documentary bibliographic investigation was carried out taking as a sample several documents (articles, books, thesis) that provided data for its development. As the main results obtained, it is mentioned that the evolution and evaluation of the criteria applied in Ecuadorian higher education has had significant changes, especially since 2010 with the creation of the LOES and with the inclusion of CEAACES in 2013, initiating university accreditation processes in search of having a higher quality in higher education. The evaluation criteria have undergone 5 modifications during the last 10 years, a period in which all the country's universities were submitted, accrediting 52 out of 70 institutions. In this study it was determined that the accreditation criteria have allowed universities to have a notable improvement in their academic system by making better use of all their resources. Quality management audits in this class of institutions have not been mandatory by regulation, being voluntary and internal or external, constituting an important tool for entities to adopt measures and recommendations to ensure their accreditation and therefore have been a fundamental action to stay within the entities authorized to generate future professionals in Ecuador.
