CENTRO DE SALUD TOSAGUA(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2022) HOLGUÍN MOREIRA, JOSSELYN PAOLA ; ZAMBRANO RIVAS, VALERIA DAYANARA ; ZAMBRANO LOOR, LIRICISTeenage pregnancy is a public health problem due to its social, health and nutritional consequences for the mother-child binomial; it constitutes a high-risk group in nutritional terms because they are in the growth stage. The nutritional status in pregnant adolescents is very essential due to the determining effect on fetal growth and on the weight of the newborn. The research work was developed under the community development modality of an action- participatory intervention type, with the aim of promoting a healthy nutritional state, through an intervention plan for pregnant adolescents treated at the Tosagua Health Center so that they adopt better eating habits. A diagnosis of the problem was made where a questionnaire with closed questions and a structured interview were applied, identifying the main problems in pregnant adolescents related to eating habits. 95% were oriented on proper eating habits, likewise instructing about risk factors and complications associated with incorrect eating habits in 95%, and finally training on good nutrition during pregnancy in 96%; activities aimed at pregnant adolescents cared for at the Tosagua Health Center; These results highlight that the interventions applied were of great benefit for pregnant adolescents to adopt better eating habits and prevent complications such as anemia, obesity, excessive weight gain and malnutrition.
