    The prevention of respiratory diseases in drug addicts is one of the community strategies that was used to prevent the serious consequences on respiratory health caused by drug use. The technique used was given through the structured interview and the observation guide: through the diagnosis, it was possible to identify the deficiency of knowledge about respiratory diseases caused by drug use, and the little guidance given to drug addicts about the importance of take adequate medical control based on your respiratory health. The application was carried out through an educational plan based on the execution of three specific objectives, which allowed instructing drug addicts about drug-induced respiratory diseases on the importance of having adequate medical control based on their health. Respiratory and promote healthy behaviors free of drug use in drug addicts of CETAD. As a conclusion, it was achieved through the activities carried out in the intervention plan to instruct 97% of drug users, how to take adequate medical control, achieving in 96% the execution of the different ones, and the importance of promote healthy behaviors free of drug use. This community participatory action project was carried out at CETAD in Portoviejo in the period from January 2020 to May 2020.
