ItemANÁLISIS MICROBIOLÓGICO Y CONDICIONES SANITARIAS DE LOS BARES DE LA UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2018) PRECIADO MARCILLO, EVELYN CRISTINA ; ARAY CEVALLOS, KARLA ARACELY ; ARTEAGA QUIROZ, MIGUEL ÁNGELA microbiological analysis corresponds to a study of epidemiological research and sanitary conditions is the cleanliness of a specific place, so the objective of this work was to perform a microbiological analysis and sanitary conditions of the bars of the Technical University of Manabí of the City of Portoviejo . The methodology was cross-sectional, descriptive, explanatory, bibliographic, experimental, prospective, the instrument and technique that was used to collect information, was a record of observation of sanitary conditions, after this the corresponding samples of food and surfaces for their respective microbiological analysis. The results of the study indicated that in the microbiological analysis more contamination was found in the chopping board followed by the blender, so it was concluded that the main cause is the bad disinfection of the surfaces, in which fecal coliforms could be identified in the foods such as mayonnaise with 16%, in which klebsiella pneumoniae was isolated more frequently and others that are not part of the coliforms, this serves to recommend them and indicate certain necessary measures that should be taken into account by the staff following the rules of sanitary hygiene demanded by the country

ItemIMPACTO DE LAS POLÍTICAS DE BIENESTAR ESTUDIANTIL EN ESTUDIANTES DE LABORATORIO CLÍNICO DE LA UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2019) GARCÍA ARTEAGA, JENNIFER MELINA ; COBEÑA AGUILAR, JENNIFER MARICELA ; ARTEAGA QUIROZ, MIGUEL ÁNGELStudent welfare seeks to improve the quality of life of the student, this university plus promotes and guarantees the permanence of students in the education system, something that contributes to educational social investment. These programs, projects and social services focus on: physical and mental health, sports and cultural affairs, health programs focused on prevention. (1) The objective of this research work was to determine the impact of Student Welfare policies on the students of the School of Clinical Laboratory of the Technical University of Manabí. As a methodology of this project, an observational, prospective and descriptive study was used; whose modality of field and bibliographical had like stage the Technical University of Manabí; The technique used was the survey applied to 664 students from the School of Clinical Laboratory. Once the results were socialized through this study, the impact of the Student Welfare policies on the students of the Clinical Laboratory of the Technical University of Manabí was made known, with its services being mainly frequented by the medical area, clinical laboratory and dentistry. most of the students is 75% who are satisfied with the attention received; the main academic, economic and personal characteristics of the students were identified; it was corroborated that 6% of them have access to a scholarship, while 8 students have some type of disability

ItemMICROALBUMINURIA COMO MARCADOR DE RIESGO CARDIOVASCULAR EN PACIENTES DIABÉTICOS(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2019) CASTILLO ZAMBRANO, GEMA ORFELINA ; CHÁVEZ MEJÍA, KERLY YAMILETH ; ARTEAGA QUIROZ, MIGUEL ÁNGELMicroalbuminuria is defined as persistent elevations of albumin in the urine of 30 mg / day, it is the main parameter used in diabetic patients for clinical evaluation, since in diabetic nephropathy there is a high rate of urinary excretion of albumin, not detectable by routine methods; It also implies an abnormal vascular permeability and presence of atherosclerosis, observational studies and intervention trials, have established that even low levels of albuminuria are associated with increased risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in general, especially in high-risk populations such as diabetics. The objective of this research is to assess microalbuminuria as a marker of cardiovascular risk in diabetic patients who attend the IESS Portoviejo type B health center during the period 2016 - 2017, the methodology was retrospective, transversal, descriptive, qualitative-quantitative, bibliographic, the instrument was the collection of information through the clinical histories generated by the AS 400 system and the instruments used were non-experimental observation and research. In addition, it is expected to educate users to raise awareness about the magnitude of this disease and have a change in their lifestyle in general, this as a contribution to society. The results of the study revealed that the diagnosis of microalbuminuria can be used as an indicator of cardiovascular risk and these results also showed that 220 of the patients under study presented positive microalbuminuria, of which 146 were female and with a higher prevalence. In the ages between 41-80 years, that is, in these patients there is already an excretion rate of albumin in urine due to the inadequate reabsorption of this protein in the kidney glomerulus

ItemPROTEÍNA C REACTIVA ULTRASENSIBLE Y FACTORES DE RIESGOS ASOCIADOS A ENFERMEDADES CARDIOVASCULARES EN CHOFERES DE LA CIUDAD DE PORTOVIEJO(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2018) ALFONZO ALCÍVAR, CARLA CRISTINA ; CAVAL LUCAS, JULIANA JACQUELINE ; ARTEAGA QUIROZ, MIGUEL ÁNGELCardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in the world. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), for this reason the objective of this work was to quantify High sensitivity C Reactive Protein (hsCRP) for the detection of cardiovascular risk in taxi drivers from 35 years old Portoviejo city. The methodology of the present investigation was cross-sectional, descriptive, explanatory, bibliographic, experimental, prospective, the instrument and technique that was used to collect information, was a survey about risk factors associated with cardiovascular diseases, after this the sampling of the drivers for their respective biochemical laboratory analysis. The results of the study indicated that in the laboratory analysis it was found that 56.3% of the sample studied had low levels of hsCRP, 30% had medium risk and 16.7% high risk. In the current problem is common in people who suffer very high loads of stress, as in the present case, taxi drivers are highly exposed to environmental pollution from vehicle smoke, long hours to get more income, which demands time to be seated, consumption of fast foods high in fat and synthetic beverages, for this reason the analysis of levels of hsCRP, is fundamental as a predictor for the detection of cardiovascular diseases since they are silent pathologies and therefore the patient he does not realize that he suffers, also found by means of the cardiovascular risk charts Framingham and D'Agostino would be very useful for the prevention to develop cardiovascular diseases
