This community work modality-titling project was carried out in experimental center 1 of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and had as its objective the implementation of equipment and materials in the Microbiology laboratory. For the acquisition of this equipment and materials, a diagnosis was made with the authorities in order to know what resources of this type were necessary within the facilities, being a centrifuge, a magnetic stirrer and carrier plates and covers objects, the resources required in the Institution. After that, together with professionals in the field, an abundant bibliographic review was carried out with a view to the selection of equipment and materials, with the aim of acquiring quality, resistant and functional products. This work contributed to the decision to purchase a BOECO S-6 model centrifuge with a capacity for 6 x 15 ml tubes, along with adapters for tubes from 7 to 1.5 ml and a Mini Stirrer model magnetic stirrer with a capacity of up to 3L, in addition to 500 slide plates and 1500 coverslip plates. The acquired equipment: BOECO S-6 centrifuge, Mini Stirrer magnetic stirrer with 1L capacity, as well as the materials, will contribute positively to the teaching and research activities carried out within the microbiology laboratory, and can be applied to the study of blood from different animal species. Likewise, the equipment and materials implemented from the work carried out will benefit the Veterinary Medicine career in the development of academic activities in the subject of Microbiology that contribute to the training process of future professionals, in addition to representing new opportunities for the execution of research activities.
