    Elaboración de un plan de prevención de riesgos laborales en la producción de plátanos en la hacienda Don Juan del cantón el Carmen de la provincia de Manabí

    This project is based on the creation of an occupational risk plan in a banana plantation located in the city of Carmen, Province of Manabí, where its activity is the production of bananas for export, this canton is called the banana capital due to the large number of companies dedicated to the production of bananas. Focusing on just one of them, we found a number of risks identified, some of them were executed anti-technical actions to mitigate them and others had not even been identified, in this way we started with the proposal to propose an occupational risk plan based on the methodology of engineering, knowing that each of these productive sectors by Executive Decree 2393 (1986) Create the Interinstitutional committee for occupational safety and hygiene, in charge of coordinating the actions of all the public sector organizations with attributions with regard to risk prevention in job, they must meet certain health and safety requirements within the state standards. To begin the study, we used a series of current and other old engineering tools which facilitated certain processes, one of which is the root cause matrix and the risk matrix that helped us verify which risks we should give greater importance to and which are the that need urgent action so that it does not continue to harm production, among other tools we have the IPER matrix that is used to evaluate and take action for each identified risk, in order to have greater precision we work with the accident history of the banana plantation, we work within the organization using surveys of each of the workers of each of the plantain production processes, concluding that implementing the plan has several benefits, such as mitigating the levels of occupational hazards, in addition to reducing costs per accidents of collaborators within the company and better productivity on the part of this sector
