In the city of Portoviejo are 175 public employees of these characteristics including among directors, coordinators, prosecutors, judges and public defenders council superintendents grade 1 to 4, they are government workers who receive higher pay levels within the city. Meanwhile, credit cards are financing instruments of payment widely used at present, due to the advantages and facilities it provides, but its misuse can cause debts that are harmful economically, they are widely used by public servants Portoviejo superior level.For the above reason is that poured conducted this study, where the relationship between the monthly income of this class of workers and consumption credit card was determined, resulting in a close relationship. The monthly income of a person is directly proportional to consumption through credit cards.This research was conducted using qualitative and quantitative method using surveys of 105 public employees in senior positions and an interview with the bank manager Pichicha (Portoviejo Agency) Ing. Mary Ferrín order to get results and specify the valid conclusions.
