Abstract

The objective of this community work is to provide technical advice on the acquisition of a spectrophotometer in order to measure the glucose standard curve. This equipment was installed in the bromatology laboratory located in the experimental area number I of the School of Veterinary Medicine. , of the Technical University of Manabí, located in the Lodana Parish, Santa Ana canton, Manabí Province, Ecuador. This project lasted approximately 12 months, from the acquisition of the equipment to achieving 100% functionality of the same, thanks to the help of the thesis tutor and the advice of a technician who knows spectrophotometers. The Genesis 50 uv model was acquired. Once the equipment was installed in the laboratory, test trials were carried out with a glucose standard curve technique using the spectrophotometer, whose processes are reflected in a manual for the use and maintenance of the equipment, prepared by the authors of this degree work. Likewise, it was concluded that this equipment will be very useful for students, teachers, thesis students and the community in general, since in them the students will be able to develop practical activities in related subjects, it will also be of great help for scientific research and development. faculty. Finally, it is recommended to know the handling of the equipment and the biosafety regulations when preparing the technique and thus achieve a correct analysis of the samples.
