Análisis comparativo de la estructura de las viviendas unifamiliares construidas por el MIDUVI, frente a la vulnerabilidad sísmica.

Abstract
This project was made with the objective to show how family houses structure's build by MIDUVI react against an earthquake. Which is considered a natural attack against a building. A design was performed using two formats or programs like Excel and Etabs for the demostration. we made a comparative analysis and highlight the results achieved by programs if the design can react favorably or not in an earthquake. Research, was the type of technique we used in the work, with the one we caught necessary information to make MIDUVI's family house study and be able to sustain results and field techniques, real events and testimonies about the reaction of houses in an earthquake were taken into account and to sustain the theory. To obtain the required information, we visited MIDUVI's office, where we could determinate everything about plans and structural design, It took into account the requirements that postulates the Ecuadorian Standard Construction (NEC), which standardizes types of soil and it’s characteristics, also the seismic importance of the Ecuadorian territory. According to the results of the investigation, it is determined that MIDUVI's houses are acceptable and able to resist seismic events, he ones that have endured and resisted seismic. El presente proyecto se lo realizó con el objetivo de demostrar cómo reaccionan las estructuras de las viviendas unifamiliares modelos construidas por el MIDUVI ante un evento sísmico, el cual es considerado como una solicitación natural que afecta a una edificación. Para la demostración se realizó un diseño mediante dos formatos o programas como ETABS y CYPECAD, realizando un análisis comparativo y destacando mediante los resultados obtenidos por los programas si el diseño puede reaccionar de manera favorable o no ante un sismo. El tipo de técnicas a utilizarse en este trabajo fueron de investigación, entre las que se consideró técnicas documentales con el objeto de recopilar la información necesaria para realizar el estudio pertinente a las viviendas unifamiliares del MIDUVI, y poder sustentar los resultados; y las técnicas de campo, para obtener un contacto directo con la razón de estudio. Se tomaron en cuenta sucesos reales y testimonios sobre la respuesta de las viviendas ante un sismo y poder sustentar la teoría. Para la obtención de los datos que se requerían se visitaron los lugares indicados como son las oficinas de MIDUVI en el cual se pudo recolectar datos importantes de la vivienda, como planos y el diseño estructural; aparte se tomó en cuenta los requerimientos que postula la Norma Ecuatoriana de la Construcción (NEC), la misma que estandariza los tipos de suelos y sus características, así como también la importancia sísmica del territorio ecuatoriano. De acuerdo a los resultados, obtenidos en la investigación se determina que la propuesta de vivienda unifamiliar de una planta del MIDUVI es aceptable para resistir el sismo de diseño establecido en la NEC. Como dato de relevancia y verificación es que las mismas ya han soportado la agresión de un sismo de importancia como se evidenció en el terremoto del 16 de abril del 2016 y su réplica del 18 de mayo del 2016.
