Diagnostico e implementacion del laboratorio de quimica en el topico de fenomenos fisico-quimicos para la formacion cientifica en el mejoramiento del desempeno profesional de los estudiantes de ingenieria civil de la Universidad Tecnica de Manabi

Abstract

The development of this project was initially proposed with clear and profound objectives that, through the effort given and the support provided by the university authorities, its development would be achieved. Specifically, through an analysis within the Alma Mater, it was possible to know the need for the implementation of equipment and tools that provide important utility within the Institute of Basic Sciences of the Technical University of Manabí, thus also strengthening the educational level in the branches of Civil Engineering and other careers that go through said Institute. The important points that were taken in this project to contribute to the strengthening of education within the Institute of Basic Sciences of the Technical University of Manabí, specifically contributing to the School of Civil Engineering of the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Chemical Sciences were: Implementation of the equipment and tools necessary for the Chemistry laboratory on the topics of physical and chemical phenomena within the study curriculum of the Civil Engineering career. The project was based primarily on the acquisition of the necessary implements to adapt the laboratory, beginning negotiations with suppliers but not before having analyzed the best option for the Institute. Once the implements and equipment were selected, we proceeded to acquire them. Subsequently, within the topic of physical and chemical phenomena, experiments were carried out that dealt with these topics. Among the tests carried out we have granulometry analysis of a material extracted from a quarry for subsequent verification of its structural work in a road design, and in chemical analysis the verification of the organic content of the fine material (sand) captured from said quarry was carried out.
