EL DESEMPLEO Y LA ANSIEDAD EN LOS GRADUADOS DE LA CARRERA DE PSICOLOGÍA CLÍNICA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ-2020

Abstract

Unemployment causes levels of anxiety in people who are interested in working, especially young people who have prepared to join a productive life to meet their economic and social needs, this approach served as motivation to carry out this research whose objective is to determine the way in which unemployment generates anxiety in graduates of the Faculty of Humanistic and Social Sciences of the Technical University of Manabí. The work is framed in a qualitative approach, based on field and bibliographic research, using the inductive, deductive and descriptive method. The study population is made up of the 52 graduates of the Faculty of Humanistic and Social Sciences who are unemployed; being a small number, all the graduates were taken as the universe of study. To collect information, the survey technique was used and the instrument is the Hamilton Anxiety Test, which was adapted to the purpose of this research. The information collected allowed us to reach the following conclusions: the 52 graduates are unemployed, which constitutes 100% of the universe; The symptoms and anxiety levels caused by unemployment are: -Symptoms at the moderate anxiety level: anxious mood, tension, fear, insomnia, intellectual functions, depressed mood, cardiovascular symptoms, respiratory symptoms; Symptoms at the level of mild anxiety: somatic muscular symptoms, somatic sensory symptoms, symptoms of the autonomic nervous system and finally the -anxiety symptoms that are not related to unemployment according to the opinion of the respondents: gastrointestinal symptoms, genitourinary symptoms.
