Estudio de usuarios en la biblioteca de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí, Portoviejo, Ecuador

Abstract

The objective of the research is to analyze the satisfaction of users of the library of the Universidad Técnica de Manabí (UTM), Portoviejo, Ecuador. The survey technique was used to measure eight criteria: Location, interior design, office hours, lighting, weather, location of the book, personal attention and personalized service. The undergraduate population for the period August-September 2018 is 18,145 students, the survey was answered by 442 students (2,43%), and the sampling was intentional non-probabilistic type. 60% of the users are women, 75% of the population are very satisfied by the location of the library and opening hours. 90% of users are between 18 and 24 years of age. It is recommended that the library optimize the attention and personalized treatment to the users.
