Abstract

The objective of the research was to analyze the personality styles of women victims of gender violence who come to the New Horizons Foundation, in the city of Portoviejo, January 2018-July 2018. It has been shown that this problem is increasing considerably, so which is of interest in the country's public policies. Physical, psychological and verbal violence are the main forms of aggression, however, in this study other forms of violence were found as sexual and economic. For this work with a qualitative and quantitative approach, the descriptive method was used, analysis - synthesis of the information taken through semi-structured interviews and application of the million tests to 35 women of the foundation. It was shown that there are three personality styles that stand out in this investigation; dependent style (31.4%), avoidant (28.6%) and compulsive (31.4%) and the types of violence with the highest index is psychological (100%) physical (51.4) sexual (40) and economic (40%).
