COMPARACIÓN DEL DISEÑO ESTRUCTURAL DE LA BIBLIOTECA GENERAL DE LA UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ ENTRE EL NEC2011 Y CEC2000 APORTADOS A LA CONSTRUCCIÓN

Abstract

The project "Comparison of the structural design of the Library of the Technical University of Manabi between NEC 2011 and CEC 2000 contributed to the building" was developed in order to provide the necessary construction documents relating to the structural part of the building, considering the rules of construction and the aspects necessary to ensure the safety and quality of the designed structure. The General Library structure was analyzed with the aid of SAP2000 program, based on the design criteria and recommendations made in the earthquake resistant design codes. When analyzing the structure of the General Library Similar results were obtained between the two rules under which the elements are very slender, so these are designed to gravitational loads. This thesis is structured as important parts which details the project in general and describes some basic concepts for the development of this work, materials and methods in which you specify the process followed for the structural design of the Main Library, results which detail drawings for all structural elements, and parameters used for seismic analysis and finally conclusions and recommendations.
