ANÁLISIS DEL IMPACTO FINANCIERO OCASIONADO POR LA PANDEMIA DEL COVID-19 EN LA COOPERATIVA EL CERRITO DEL CANTÓN ROCAFUERTE DURANTE EL AÑO 2020

Abstract

Epidemics have occurred throughout the history of humanity, and now it is the case that we have had to live, facing the Covid-19 pandemic, which has caused a crisis in the Ecuadorian economy that has been directly reflected in the unusual behavior of income, therefore, this research work was developed with the purpose of analyzing the financial impact caused by the covid-19 pandemic in the El Cerrito cooperative in the Rocafuerte canton during the year 2020. For its development, a qualitative and quantitative research methodology was applied. The instruments applied for data collection were the interview applied to the members and workers of the cooperative. Among the main results, it was obtained that, despite the pandemic in the 2020 period, the El Cerrito cooperative did not present any significant impact due to the health contingency compared to the situation registered the previous year (2019) and the following year (2021), there was only a percentage variation from -13% to -10%, this is due to the fact that as it is a cooperative that provides the sales service of basic necessities, therefore, people never stopped buying, but there was less competition because frequent going out was avoided. Finally, with the results obtained through the investigation, the respective conclusions and recommendations originating from the techniques used are elaborated.
