| dc.description | La higuerilla (Ricinus communis L.) pertenece a la familia de Euphorbiaceae, misma que se encuentra establecida en todos los continentes. Genera gran interés a nivel mundial gracias al contenido de aceite extraído de la semilla, éste puede ser utilizado en la producción de biocombustibles, productos farmacéuticos y cosmetológicos, abonos orgánicos, entre otros usos. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar la situación actual del cultivo de la higuerilla en el Ecuador. Fue efectuada una de revisión de literatura llevando a cabo una búsqueda exhaustiva en las bases de datos Google Académico, Scielo, Web of Science y Scopus, desde 1973 hasta 2022, con un total de 52 manuscritos científicos. En la actualidad el suministro de semillas para las empresas extractoras se ha visto afectado en Ecuador y ha puesto a las empresas a la deriva, debido a que son pocos los productores que la producen y no es un cultivo tecnificado ni con incentivos del gobierno ecuatoriano. Se espera que con el lanzamiento de la variedad de Higuerilla INIAP– 402 “LA ROJA”, los agricultores se motiven a la siembra y que existan precios más atractivos por parte de los empresarios y así favorecer al productor. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The castor (Ricinus communis L.) belongs to the Euphorbiaceae family, which is established on all continents. It generates great interest worldwide thanks to the content of oil extracted from the seed, which can be used in the production of biofuels, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, organic fertilizers, among other uses. The main of this work is to analyze the current situation of the cultivation of castor in Ecuador. A literature review was carried out, carrying out an exhaustive search in the Google Scholar, Scielo, Web of Science and Scopus databases, from 1973 to 2022, with a total of 52 scientific manuscripts.Currently, the supply of seeds for extraction companies has been affected in Ecuador and has put the companies adrift, because there are few producers that produce it, and it is not a technified crop or with incentives from the Ecuadorian government. It is expected that with the launch of the castor variety INIAP – 402 “LA ROJA”, farmers are motivated to sow and that there are more attractive prices from businessmen and thus favor the producer. | |
