| dc.description | El propósito de la investigación radica en establecer la relación del estatus socioeconómico y la salud mental en la población de la ciudad de Portoviejo; entendiéndose que el estatus socioeconómico comprende los ingresos económicos, nivel de instrucción y ocupación de los individuos. La investigación cuanti - cualitativa, aplicó una encuesta a 264 habitantes entre 18 y 45 años de edad y una entrevista a 10 Psicólogos Clínicos; como resultado se evidencia que el estatus socioeconómico influye en la salud mental, sea este estatus alto o bajo; cuando sufre alteraciones o problemas, el individuo puede afectar su capacidad de identificación y respuesta; resulta necesario fortalecer políticas, proyectos y espacios para el desarrollo de una sociedad igualitaria y saludable. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the research is to establish the relationship of socioeconomic status and mental health in the population of the city of Portoviejo; it being understood that the socioeconomic status includes the economic income, educational level and occupation of the individuals. The research is quantitative – qualitative, a survey was applied to 264 inhabitants between 18 and 45 years of age and an interview with 10 Clinical Psychologists; as a result, it is evident that socioeconomic status influences mental health, whether this status is high or low; when it suffers alterations or problems, the individual can affect his capacity of identification and response; It is necessary to strengthen policies, projects and spaces for the development of an egalitarian and healthy society. | |
