Abstract

The present titling work with the community development modality had as main objective is the implementate technical advice in the implementation of the topographic identification and planimetry of the grasslands in the Lodana experimental center of the Technical University of Manabí, which is georeferenced in the province of Manabí canton Santa Ana Lodana parish the experimental center has a total of 120 hectares of which 12.7 hectares are destined to the cultivation of grasslands and are divided into 16 prairies of which it was known that it has a green forage production per m2 of 26, 5kg, having a general production of 231527.6 kg, of this production the animals waste by trampling within the meadow approximately 59727.5kg being usable 139363.5kg of grass. The experimental center has 39 animals of different weights and productive and reproductive stages where there were 69.2 AU (Animal Unit) the AU corresponds to an animal of approximately 400 to 500kg of live weight. There was an animal stocking rate of 2.5 AU/ha, which indicates that there is an overstocking of animals in the semi-intensive grazing system. In the future, it is intended to cultivate RODAS, which could produce approximately 3000 tons of grass that will help improve the productive performance of the Lodana Experimental Center.
