Estudio del comportamiento del material de mejoramiento tratado con emulsión asfáltica para su utilización como base/sub-base en la estructura de pavimentos

Abstract

In this research called "STUDY OF THE BEHAVIOR OF MATERIAL IMPROVEMENT TREATED WITH ASPHALT EMULSION FOR USE AS A BASE / SUB-BASE IN THE STRUCTURE OF PAVEMENT" refers to the problem that is created from the observation in reality on the effects of the material improvement of quarries "San Jose" and "MEGAROK" stabilized asphalt emulsion to increase the resistance and give the material characteristics of sub-base and / or base, with a design suitable mixing. Specifically, the study is defined in two phases, the first is an economic analysis each economic benefit by improving the material with asphalt emulsion to make fulfill basic characteristics and / or sub-base is obtained, or directly buying materials subbase and / or base, and the second phase consists of a research process which aims to study the breeding material in its natural state to know their characteristics of durability and resistance, after studying its natural state, make a mix design between the soil material studied best feature and asphalt emulsion, in order to give other improved to meet the material as sub-base and / or base characteristics. The methodology that was used during the research process research laboratory was using a deductive method of hypothesis that through soil studies obtained the results of research in order to create the conclusions and recommendations. The importance of this study is essential since it is focused on the use of a lower strength material of one of the two aforementioned quarries to be stabilized with an aggregate to function as a material better strength in the construction of roads in Manabí province.
