EL ESTRÉS EN MADRES DE NIÑOS CON DISCAPACIDAD Y SU INFLUENCIA FAMILIAR.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of stress on mothers of children with disabilities attending the "Social Development Association Hope for the Special Child". The research was carried out in a sample of 34 mothers attending the association. The type of research used is descriptive of a non-experimental, transversal, quantitative and correlational cut, using as a study instrument, a parental stress questionnaire and a structured interview directed to a professional to deepen the investigation. The results obtained indicate that there is a high level of stress in the three dimensions evaluated by the scale, paternal discomfort, dysfunctional interaction parents-children and difficult child, in addition to this it was found that the stress perceived by the study population has influenced the family dynamics, having a relationship that interferes negatively and denotes a failure and lack of resources to face the situation.
