dc.description En los últimos años la preocupación ambiental en la Empresa Pública Municipal Mancomunada EMMAI se ha vuelto tendencia, siendo de gran importancia el tratamiento de los residuos, el cual se ha convertido en una de las prioridades. El trabajo de titulación tiene la finalidad de analizar la gestión de los residuos sólidos en la empresa pública municipal mancomunada de aseo integral de los cantones 24 de Mayo, Santa Ana y Olmedo (EMMAI). La metodología diseñada es de tipo descriptiva, de campo y bibliográfica, basándose en categorías, conceptos, variables, sucesos, comunidades o contextos que se dan sin la intervención directa del investigador, y se construye con un diagnóstico completo realizado en cuanto al manejo actual de residuos sólidos en la empresa. Los resultados obtenidos a través del trabajo de campo e interacción con las diferentes personas y áreas objeto de estudio, permiten obtener un conjunto de medidas a implementar para que la empresa lo adopte y de alguna u otra forma pueda disminuir los impactos ambientales negativos que se puedan generar por un inadecuado manejo de residuos sólidos. Finalmente se reconoce la labor que se está dando dentro de la EMMAI, y la apertura que se tiene para una mejora continua y del mismo modo, se agradece la información obtenida para la aplicación de la investigación
dc.description.abstract In recent years, the environmental concern in the EMMAI Municipal Public Joint Undertaking has become a trend, the treatment of waste being of great importance, which has become one of the priorities. The titling work has the purpose of analyzing the management of solid waste in the municipal public joint venture of the 24 de Mayo, Santa Ana and Olmedo cantons (EMMAI). The present titration work has the purpose of analyzing the solid waste management in the public joint municipal company of integral cleaning of the cantons 24 de Mayo, Santa Ana and Olmedo (EMMAI). The results obtained through the field work and interaction with the different people and areas under study, allow obtaining a set of measures to be implemented for the company to adopt and in some way or another can reduce the negative environmental impacts that may be generate by improper handling of solid waste. Finally, the work that is taking place within the EMMAI is recognized, and the openness that is had for continuous improvement and in the same way, the information obtained for the application of the research is appreciated
