Abstract

One of the great challenges that the social worker faces in his professional work is when it comes to intervening with people who are victims of domestic violence. Being confronted with people with emotional and psychological crises is a challenge for this professional, since he must control, Encourage, and empathically listen to the problem presented at that time. From this context the research aimed to identify the intervention of the social worker with the victims of intrafamily abuse, applying the methods of descriptive research and analysis-synthesis, and as techniques surveys and single case studies. Obtaining results of relevance and defining that the intervention of the social worker is based on an active, determined and delivered attitude facilitating to this vulnerable group to have a treatment and a decent life with an optimal integral development, mitigating this violence and defending their rights and the protection Social protection that protects them in the constitution of Ecuador in force.
