Políticas para el desarrollo de colecciones de la biblioteca de la unidad educativa Manabí tecnológico

Abstract

The present research addresses the issues of the Policies for the Development of Collections of the Library of the Manabí Technological Educational Unit. Within the research carried out, the subject matter is described in depth and the main rules are listed, because the school library must have collections policies within it. For this it was necessary a descriptive study, using the method of documentary analysis for the bibliographic revision and exhibition of the contents. As a result, we can see that libraries within educational institutions have always existed, but few libraries are governed by existing library policies derived from the Ministry of Education and Culture. In conclusion, it is necessary to emphasize the need for all school libraries to have their own policies and, in turn, to follow the policies established by the Ministry of Education and Culture in order to obtain a better service with the educational community.
