dc.description La presente Tesis de Grado Titulada “Análisis Estructural y Económico de la Construcción del Edificio de la Biblioteca General de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí comparando los códigos NEC-2011 y ACI-2008 periodo 2013”, se elaboró con el fin de comparar dos normas vigentes de construcción diferentes aplicadas a una misma estructura para observar su comportamiento estructural corroborando que resista ambas solicitaciones de carga y a la vez obtener el Diseño Estructural óptimo que resulte más Económico. Al realizar el Análisis Estructural con ambos códigos se obtuvieron resultados similares mostrando pequeñas variaciones en esfuerzos, por lo cual se cumple con el mismo diseño estructural para ambas solicitaciones de carga que norman cada uno de los códigos. El Análisis Estructural y Económico además de cumplir con la normativa vigente de construcción, se apoya en las experiencias plasmadas por los Ingenieros Estructurales Docentes de la Universidad. La aplicación de las técnicas de cálculo vinculadas al campo de la Ingeniería Civil facilitó el proceso, pero las resoluciones tomadas como parte del diseño final son propias de los autores. es
dc.description.abstract The present Thesis Titled "Economic Structural Analysis and Building Construction General Library of the Universidad Técnica de Manabí comparing NEC 2011 and ACI-2008 codes, period 2013", was developed in order to compare two existing standards different construction applied to the same structure to observe the structural behavior corroborating that resists both load requests while obtaining the optimal structural design that is more economic. When performing structural analysis with both codes similar results were obtained showing small variations in efforts, which complies with the same structural design for both load stresses that regulate each of the codes. Structural and Economic Analysis in addition to complying with building regulations, is based on the experiences reflected by the Structural Engineers of University Teachers. The application of computational techniques related to the field of Civil Engineering facilitated the process, but the decisions made as part of the final design are those of the authors. en
