Caracterización socio-económica de la pesca artesanal del camarón marino en el sector Pampilandia del estuario del río Chone

Abstract

The socio-economic characterization of the artisanal fishery of marine shrimp on the estuary of the river Chone practiced by the inhabitants of the sector Pampilandia. Obtaining in situ data of the boats and fishing gear used for chores, as well as volume data of catch, catch per unit effort (CPUE), but those derived from surveys and interviews applied to a total of 20 fishermen, between the months of june and september of 2017. The socio-economic indicators allow you to locate the shrimp fisheries as a source not stable nor cost effective for those fishermen of the area due to lack of social protection, and others depend on the owner of the fishing unit, which generates a heterogeneous distribution of income. The boat N°2 with the highest CPUE with 1.25 lb/fisherman/hours, while the boat N°9 presented a CPUE of 0.49 lb/fisherman/hour.
