Abstract

Audiovisual media are currently of great importance, since most of the information received by students is through sight and hearing, while motivating, sensitizing and stimulating the interest of the learner and facilitating the instruction of the teacher, becoming indispensable in the improvement of the academic development of the students; It should be noted that during the development of the research, certain limitations were found, such as the limited existence of audiovisual materials and the poor management of these resources by the teacher, leading to an inadequate practice of them; for this reason, this study proposed as a general objective to design a didactic strategy for the use of audiovisual materials that contributes to the academic development of the fifth, sixth and seventh grade students of the Beraca private school of the canton of Sucre. With the design and execution of the teaching strategy was provided with new knowledge mainly for the teacher at the time of teaching their classes with the necessary guidelines to properly use this type of audiovisual resources, applying methods such as the inductive - deductive, logical historical , analytical - synthetic, participatory, methods of the empirical level of knowledge and observational, resulting in teachers of fifth, sixth and seventh year provide a quality education and that their students can use audiovisual materials correctly.
