Abstract

This thesis work was carried out under the community development modality prior to obtaining the title of civil engineer, where students and teachers of the Technical University of Manabí lend their knowledge to help solve the needs of society in general. The thesis topic entitled STUDY AND DESIGN OF THE EL GRAMAL – EL LIMON ROAD FROM THE PUEBLO NUEVO PARISH OF THE CANTON PORTOVIEJO, it was done by the need of the population not to have a way in which they can get their products agricultural products to different parts of the province to be marketed, in addition to guarantee socio-economic development in the area and offer better access to the basic needs of people. The design was carried out with the help of the thesis committee, applying the respective standards of the Ministry of Public Works and ASSTHO standards that are used for the construction of roads, thus carrying out the topography of the place, the soil study, the TPDA, to later carry out the design of a flexible pavement. The project will be delivered to the Provincial Government of Manabí so that in the future it will be executed and thus helps to meet the needs of this community, which is mostly from very humble but hard-working people who fight daily to get ahead.
