Estudio sobre las solicitaciones de trafico de vehiculos pesados en las carreteras de ingreso a la ciudad de portoviejo

Abstract

In the present research work called “STUDY ON THE REQUESTS FOR HEAVY VEHICLE TRAFFIC ON THE ROADS ENTRANCE TO THE CITY OF PORTOVIEJO”, referring to the vehicular traffic produced in the city of Portoviejo on the roads (Manta – Portoviejo; Crucita – Portoviejo; San Placido – Portoviejo and Santa Ana – Portoviejo). In road design, a correct determination of the characteristics of vehicular traffic to ensure optimal operation during the useful life period stipulated in said design. In the research work, the loads and characteristics in the main roads that give access to the city of Portoviejo, using a method indirect in load measurements. Samples of heavy vehicles will be taken on different roads that provide access to the canton, acquiring as information the silhouettes and an estimate of the loads of trucks that circulate. A statistical procedure of this information will allow estimating the load spectrums and thus the loads and characteristics of each of the roads to study. In pavement design, knowledge of traffic is one of the most important factors. important, and its determination makes it possible to carry out more rational designs.
