EL FEMICIDIO EN MANABÍ DESDE UNA PERSPECTIVA PSICOLÓGICA

Abstract

The present investigation have to establish the causes of femicide from a psychological perspective, cases presented in the Fiscalía General del Estado de Manabí during the year 2018, also reflect on femicide, considered as a crime that occurs for reasons of gender, specifically femicide, as a response to the adjustments caused by a greater participation of women in the spaces of power, especially those that previously belonged exclusively to men. The type of study is of a descriptive nature, due to the nature of the data it is of a qualitative- quantitative approach, it is based on the inductive methods - deductive, bibliographic and statistical. Employing techniques such as the survey and the structured interview on femicide for women and professionals, the population to be investigated were 9 women who have been victims of violence, possibly due to a male chauvinist culture that currently affects our society and is strengthened by interviewing professionals linked to the problem. As a result, it could be concluded that the main cause of the crime of Femicide in Manabí is jealousy on the part of the aggressor towards the victim, which increases intrafamily violence and therefore affects the behavior of a society in general.
